I’ve eaten here a couple of times (take out) during the Pandemic era before with my daughter and had experience great food and service. However, this time (with my daughter) I was very disappointed! On 9/5/2025 around noon I ordered a take out meal. My dish included: Chicken & Dressing with gravy, Steamed cabbage, and Mac & cheese with a roll. The gravy was salty, the dressings were or tasted like stove top stuffing, the steamed cabbage was spicy and the mac and cheese was very watery with no cheese flavor at all. And to add the dressing serves as a meat but collectively there were about a heaping stringy Tablespoon full. I tried to contact their business phone twice before 3:30 but no one answered. The meal priced $15.00+. I wasn’t issued a receipt and didn’t think I’d need one until this experience occured, but I don’t think it will make a different, going by reading the other reviews. I would’ve taken it back but I live roughly 40 minutes away from their establishment and didn’t eat it until after arriving home. I’m not very savy with technology however, I will try to upload a picture of what I trashed if this site will allow me to do so.

Back when they did breakfast… they HAD to have changed cooks. I ordered 2 plates of roast, one went to my dog because it was so bad. the roast has no flavor!! I ordered chicken dumplings the chicken was diced into squares you see in can chicken noodle soup, and the dumplings were huge!!! And nasty I’m afraid. The things that were good, the chicken spaghetti was peppery but good, mashed potatoes amazing and squash and cornbread top tier. I’d

This food was horrible. Mac&cheese was loosey goosey. Hamburger steak was not seasoned at all. Green beans was fresh out the can, no seasoning. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy were the only thing we liked.

Other than that no disappointments My drink was 1/2 fruit punch 1/2 lemonade last but noooot least, OMGudness that cabbage was amaaaaazing &seasoned like it was 4 the God’s & I should’ve got an extra piece of cornbread !!! So the food was definitely not good. Fried chicken was dry and under seasoned, yams tasted like they were start out of the can, and let me not get started on the Mac and cheese…. don’t waste your time or money! But hey do you and go where you please.

I love Walkers. They are the best to go to in Central Arkansas if you are craving traditional southern comfort foods… look no further. Some Sundays, they have excellent chittlins. They are amazing and if you are a real finally they need is hot sauce and hot water cornbread (all of which is available. Close your eyes and taste and it takes you back to those good family dinners at big mama’s house.

A friend suggested this place so I figured I’d check it out. It’s cafeteria style so there’s a wide selection of meats, sides and veggies to choose from. I got fried chicken (leg &thigh), corn and mac-n-cheese. Cornbread was also included, but you can choose a roll instead. The cornbread was ok but a bit crumbly. The mac and corn were both decent. The chicken, while cooked well and having an appetizing appearance, was disappointingly bland in flavor. Just needs some salt or seasoning salt or something. I may come back and try some ox tails or something else. The server was very friendly and provided a good explanation of the menu and pricing.
