Im disappointed at the total breakfast experience. Considering we are at the Marriott Marquis I was expecting top notch breakfast. The service was fine no problem. The food was not it for the price. DO NOT ORDER THE CHILAQUILES! They are literally chips and salsa with eggs. Not traditional or authentic Mexican. The 3 egg omelette was mid. Kids under 5 eat at the buffet free but it looked like any other hotel breakfast.
NOT WORTH THE PRICE…

Walker Street Kitchen turned out to be a good spot for breakfast in downtown Houston. The buffet was excellent and a solid value for the price. The made-to-order omelet bar was definitely the highlight, fresh and cooked just the way I wanted it, ham, mushrooms and cheese. Our server, Thomas, couldn’t have been better. He was attentive, kind, and right there when we needed him. All around, a really enjoyable visit.

Amazing food, great customer service, Janay, Lyndis, AND the entire staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best breakfast experience. The food was phenomenal! Definitely recommend!! Would add more stars if I could!

I went for the Saturday brunch. It’s absolutely not worth the money. I was lured in thinking I was going to enjoy chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits. The chicken was chicken tenders that were cold from just sitting there and the waffles were frozen. No one was at the omelet station and the brisket was fatty, greasy and sopped in bbq sauce. I didn’t bother with the other items but they are available. The service was decent. My waiter appeared attentive although I could not find her for ten minutes when I was ready to pay the bill. Maybe dinner is better but I would not do the brunch. It honestly should be free as part of your stay at the property.

We had a super tasty breakfast here while staying at the hotel. I had the harissa eggs and avocado toast. We split both dishes. There were so tasty and full of flavor! Both were large dishes and great for sharing. So much flavor and well prepared. Perfectly poached eggs.
Service was friendly and we were able to use our credit.

I had breakfast here two days in a row before the quilt show. There was a 30 minute wait both days. That was even more frustrating because I could see a half dozen empty tables from where I was.The first day I ordered poached eggs and and avocadoIt took more than 30 minutes for the kitchen to deliver it. The second day I opted for the buffet which they push you to. It was nothing special and not particularly well organized. I still had to get up and ask for coffee and water and the check a few of the people in there care, But most don’t. They are understaffed.

This place offers a friendly and helpful staff that makes your visit pleasant. While the food selection isn’t extensive, it’s a great spot for a quick and satisfying breakfast.

Excellent service! We had the best waitress whose name was Lian, what a sweetheart. The breakfast menu was great and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone staying at the Marriot Marquise hotel in Downtown Houston. We ate breakfast here 3 days straight. The restaurants decor was also beautiful.

Located in the Marriott, so location was convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful. Extremely expensive and disappointing. The orange juice was 6 bucks, low grade straight out of a carton. The cappuccino was 6, Luke warm and from a machine using what tasted like long life milk.

A lot of the negative reviews are outdated. This is a real solid, convenient option for brunch if you’re staying in the hotel. The staff are friendly and efficient. The seating and ambiance in general is comfortable. The buffet is a great deal ($26 per person) and the made to order pancakes (they offer them with blueberries or chocolate) and omelettes are well prepared and a really nice touch.
The food on offer in the buffet was great but not entirely up to par with the caliber of the hotel (pastries in particular were mediocre).
