This was my first visit to this college town restaurant. The atmosphere is what you expect from a sports bar in Clemson. Weekends are standing room only but week nights are easy access. The food, however, is NOT what you would expect from a sports bar. Probably why the term Bistreaux is in the name. Louisiana style seafood, gumbo and tacos along with sandwiches and burgers. Something for everyone and the food was phenomenal. We spent just over $100, including tip, for four. No drinks included in that price. The service was good with friendly staff. Highly recommend. You can enter from the front, adjacent to the entrance of the Junkyard or thru the rear.

Horrible experience. This was my lemon pepper chicken.. broccoli was not seasoned one bit, my steam fresh broccoli out of a bag tasted better. Best part by far was the corn risotto. Which basically was mushed corn bread, but I like corn bread. I could not even cut my chicken. I was informed that the seasoning was just alot, bc that’s how they do it, and I should ask for light seasoning. I’m not joking, and that was from the manager. So they said they would make me new chicken. 15 mins later no chicken, so I walked up to the hostess counter and Asked them to find someone to just get my check, I didn’t care about the chicken at that point my sides were cold. I just wanted to go. The manager provided me with a free appetizer coupon for next purchase, but I will not go back. Waitress was nice and drinks were good.

We went for lunch on Sunday, and was seated promptly but our group had to split up which is understandable. Waitress was very sweet and checked in frequently. It took over an hour to get our food. We understand new restaurants have to work our the kinks, however, our food wasn’t even hot or fresh…which was SHOCKING! It would have been just fine to wait, had our food been freshly made and piping hot. The kitchen team really puts the waitresses in a bind, but no manager was making the rounds to get customer feedback. That tells me they didn’t want to hear the feedback! We will not be returning.

Lots of TVs so that’s great for the atmosphere! I ordered the mango tuna bowl and it was pretty good but tiny tiny portion for $17 after tip, I don’t think it would hurt to add some more rice to fill up the bowl. They are open on Mondays which is a plus for the area!

The alligator appetizer was pretty tasty and was recommended by our server. The pasta could have used more sauce but it was still tasty and the shrimp were tender.

This place is sooo cute! I was surprised at how busy it was for a lunch hour. I got the hickory burger and it was SO GOOOD. Don’t even think about it just order. The only thing was my fries were very salty.

Very busy! Sitting at the bar got us eating faster as there was a 45 minute wait for a table. Sara, our bartender, was slammed but friendly and attentive. Great food! Would return when in town again!

Today was our first time eating here. The food was delicious. Our waitress was very nice, caring and checked on us to see if we needed anything. My husband ordered the rice and beans with andouille sausage. He let me sample it and it was delicious I ordered the buffalo wrap which is toasted with waffle fries. I requested that my fries be cooked extra brown and came out perfectly cooked.

Had a great lunch. Did not have to wait long for a table. Not sure if you can call ahead. The place probably has about 20 TVs throughout playing all sports. Started with the fried pickles which were some of the best I ever had. For entrees had the regular fried catfish platter. The catfish is in pieces sort of like chicken fingers and the were great. Hush puppies were very good too. Their version of chicken quesadilla was awesome! Had chicken and sausage which gave it a great flavor. It comes with beans and rice which also has sausage and it was very good. Could almost just get a bowl of that for an entree. The burgers are big, half pound patty I believe, and delicious as well. Definitely going back to try a few more items on the menu.

The Sliders were cooked perfectly and that was after the awesome boiling hot spinach and artichoke dip which came with delicious slow toasted buttered bread. We sat out side which was awesome no one else was out there and it was bright and sunny. Definitely try to get in if you can. I had a local draft beer and my wife a white Sangria.
