Humble but warm go-to serves up Ethiopian standards including veggie options, plus wine & beer.

Arrive hungry. I had wanted to try this place for quite some time, finally got a couple of guys together to go try. Abel our waiter was very helpful and friendly. He made some great suggestions and we followed his advice. We were able to enjoy a hearty lunch that included beef, chicken, lamb, greens, lentils, and more. Our table was three big hungry dudes, and we all left stuffed and satisfied. I also understand that this place is well known for their Ethiopian Injara bread, which we enjoyed! We’ll be back! Big thx to Abel for helping us!

My husband and I shared Veggie sampler+lamb tips juicy ($46). Food is super good! The kitchen personnel was MOSTLY able to accommodate my gluten and dairy allergies, although they mentioned that they had to put some butter in the lamb tips. I am dreaming about another plate from this place…
My husband also took Kitfo 6 oz ($21), he liked it.
We will be back soon.

The restaurant offers a warm, traditional Ethiopian ambiance, and the flavors genuinely make you feel like you are experiencing Ethiopia through the food. I do not remember the exact name of the dish I ordered, but it was recommended by the waiter after I mentioned that I wanted something hearty with meat and rich Ethiopian spices served with injera. It turned out to be an excellent recommendation — flavorful, filling, and very satisfying.
One thing I noticed was that the restaurant seemed understaffed for how busy it was. After my food arrived, I had to wait quite a while just to get a spoon and fork, since they were not brought out automatically. I also ended up going to the counter to request the bill because it took too long to arrive at the table.
That said, the waiter was friendly and clearly doing his best to keep up with the crowd.
Overall, I would definitely return to enjoy that unique Ethiopian dish again.

The restaurant has a traditional Ethiopian atmosphere and the flavors really transport you there. I’m not sure of the exact name of the dish, but it was recommended by the waitress after I told her I wanted something with meat and rich Ethiopian flavors served with injera. It was a great choice — delicious, filling, and satisfying.
However, I noticed there weren’t enough servers for how busy the restaurant was. I had to wait quite a while after the dish arrived just to get a spoon and fork, since they weren’t brought automatically. I also had to go to the counter to request the bill because it took too long to be delivered.
Still, the waitress was friendly and clearly doing her best.
I will definitely come back to enjoy this unique Ethiopian dish again.

This was my second time coming here, and it was just as great as the first! My boyfriend and I shared the veggie and meat combo; it was a generous portion, super fresh, and really flavorful. Everything was perfectly seasoned and tasted homemade. The owner stopped by a few times to check on us, which was really nice. Great food, great service, definitely recommend!

I ordered food for pick up, with delivery time of 20min. When I got there on time they didn’t ask for my name or provided any updates as I was standing for 30min past due their estimate. The place was dirty and I could see how messy their kitchen was. I felt lucky they were late because after I saw how bad the place smelled and how dirty it was I had already lost my appetite. I canceled my ordered and went back home. I will not be craving Ethiopian for a loooong time.

Ordered the veg platter with lamb tibs. It was more than enough for 2 people. Very flavorful food. I would like to explore more non vegetarian dishes. I loved the lamb tibs. They did forget to bring our tea, but it’s ok, we will try that the next time we visit

This place has the soft glow of traditional decor. The food delivered too. The pillowy injera was the perfect companion to the asmara shrimp tibs, and the spicy kewty doro. Each dish had tradition and depth.
However, if you’re in a hurry, this might not be your best bet. Service is (super) slow. If you have the patience to settle in, and savor the experience, the food is absolutely worth the wait. We were treated to free samosas as well.

This is our new favorite Ethiopian restaurant in San Jose! Its absolutely delicious! We got the vegetarian platter with lamb tibs and the quantity is enough for 2 people and everything was so good, we couldn’t decide what was our favorite. Can’t wait to go back!
The only downside is the bathroom is outside of the restaurant in the same building but its not too inconvenient

Nice injira with veggie platter and meat sides. My wife especially loved the chicken tibs. She said it reminds her of ghee roast chicken from India.
I ate the veggie platter sides and baklava. Definitely a must go place for people who love Ethiopian cuisine!
