I like Waldo’s. Great chicken. The Chop Chop salad is the best. I’ve also added my photo of the banana pudding. It’s almost as good as my mom’s.
But… they’ve now added table service.

Fast food chicken restaurants with the best salad. The big franchises or the independent locals? Who has it, the best? The competitors I selected are as follows: Slim Chickens, Chick-fil A, Waldo’s, Zaxby’s, Red Light Chicken, Chicken and the Wolf, and Charlies Chicken.
Well, I have tried all on this list. My pick is Waldo’s Chicken and Beer in Owasso. They put out an excellent LARGE salad, packed with fresh greens and abundant chunks of chicken that just came out of the fryer. It is served in a real bowl, with a real fork. The restaurant bright and comfortable. The service not only friendly, but a level above the competition. It is good.
The choice for second-place best salad surprised me. Red Light Chicken. Check that review.

Waldo’s Chicken and Beer, a big clean restaurant with a bar in “O”wassa, may have brought this pursuit to an end. My top pick so far, over Slim’s, Chick-fil A, and Zaxby’s. I just don’t believe any remaining competitors will beat them for the salad, either. A Chop Chop Blue salad for me. A big filling salad served in a real bowl, with a real fork, delivered to the table after ordering at the counter. Excellent service at the counter.
The Chop Chop, fresh greens, blue cheese crumbles, bacon and tomato. Check the pictures. The salad comes with a blue cheese vinaigrette, but they screwed up and gave me a lemon vinaigrette, not recommended. No problem though because I ordered Jalapeno Ranch, which did come to the table. Order this salad with the Jalapeno Ranch. The spicey dressing complements the chicken perfectly. The chicken was the star of the bowl. Fresh, obviously just cooked, not dry. A flavorful coating; noticeably light and crispy. Not too thick; not over fried. Amazing bites of chicken. I could eat this salad once a week.
My wife had the Chicken Scratch Salad. Two thumbs up for it also.

Food was all fresh, made in house.
Partner got the Chicken Tender box, and the price was wrong between the menu and the system, but it was delicious. I ordered the Foul Mouth and it was indeed spicy, but absolutely wonderful!! Mac n cheese was 10/10, highly recommended as a side!
Sara was our waitress/bartender and extremely friendly and informative! She put the icing on top for us to be regulars introducing us to the 50% off all bar drink, “happy hour,” that they offer.
They offer to go growlers and cocktails as well for decent prices! Which, we will love to try.
I only deducted 1.0 for the pricing overall, it is a little elevated, but nearly justified considering how fresh and unique everything is. We highly recommend overall!

We stopped by Waldo’s while some friends were in town. It caught our eye because none of us had been there before. From the start, we were greeted quickly and seated immediately. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was better than we expected, and the prices were reasonable. Their chicken was great. The outside breading was flavorful and crispy, and the meat was tender and juicy, just the way fried chicken should be. I had the chicken and waffle, and my friends had the Fowl Mouth and O.G. sandwiches. Everyone agreed the chicken was delicious. The owner, Dino, stopped by our table to check on us and we chatted with him for a couple of minutes. It was a great interaction. I’d definitely go back, not just for the food, but also for the service.

Our family really likes Waldos. My favorite is the Foul Mouth Chicken Sandwich that has a nice kick to it if you like a little heat and their fries have a good seasoning. Most places use white breast meat whereas Waldos used thigh meat which is really flavorful and never dry. I highly recommend their GREAT food. Dil B.

We’ve eaten here twice within a week, that’s how good it is. The food comes out hot. You have to try the banana pudding!!! The place is super clean. We’ve had Heather as our server twice now, and she’s fabulous, we will ask for her every single time! They even fry their food in beef tallow instead of seed oils! This is our new favorite place.

Everything was SO GOOD! Everything was fresh and delicious the sauces, the lemonade, the bananna pudding all fresh. And you can tell. The onion rings and fried pickles were not out of a box. Fresh Hand breaded. The bar had some really cool looking drinks including Spiked Slushies. I didn’t try tonight, it is 26 degrees outside, but it is on the list for next time. Everything we tried is our new favorite. And my new best friend Bea is the best. She was incredible. I am so full.
