There truly isn’t a better salad than the chicken scratch salad with honey mustard dressing. It is the closest thing to a bennigan’s kilkenny salad that I can ever find. I liked this location of Waldo’s because the staff was so friendly, but it does feel more like a fast food restaurant than their location in Germantown.

I believe it was Mark Twain who once said: “One of life’s simplest pleasures is good chicken, and cold beer.” Waldo’s was amazing. Chicken was juicy and had maximum crunch. The cheese biscuits are unassuming little popover style muffins but I could have happily eaten about 3 orders of them to myself. They brine the chicken 24 hrs to keep it juicy and make everything from scratch, including the hand breading.
Staff was very attentive, manager was checking on quality of service at every table. Overall I would highly recommend this chicken shop. It is just dang good food.

I absolutely enjoyed my first time coming to Waldo’s Chicken & Beer. When I walked inside, it seemed like a very relaxed environment. I ordered takeout and it only took about 5-10 minutes to come out. I ordered the 4 piece Chicken Tenders with Mac & Cheese and Collard Greens with their signature sauce. The staff was nice and very inviting. I liked my time and I will be definitely be coming back.

Tried Waldo’s for the first time with my partner, and we really enjoyed it! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. Greens are good with hot sauce. Loved the jalapeño ranch sauce. My partner didn’t like the beans but did like the flavor. He just preferred a different type of bean. The hostess Tracy was very helpful and very kind. Tracy was great about recommending things for us as well as what to pair it with. We’ll be back! Apologies for the pics. I didn’t think about it until after we ate but it’s proof of how good the food is.

The food is always good no matter the location. We went to this location today and I wanted to compliment the service. We had Avion (I hope I spelled it right) take our order and check on us. He was polite, kind, remembered my drink order when I asked for a refill, etc. He checked on us multiple times and was always making sure the area was clean and straightened up! It was a great experience, especially for “fast food”. Thank you Avion!

I love chicken wings and always enjoy trying out a new place. The chicken wings were very underwhelming. I got comeback flavor wings and asked for fried wings. They came soggy and we’re not crispy at all. The sauce was very bland. The ranch they gave me was watery. The service was good. The cashier was very polite. For being a wing place they have a very limited list of wing flavors.

Counter-order, take a number and sit at a table or bar. Above average service for casual type place. Fit the bill for a quick lunch. Would return to investigate the cocktails and bar scene during a game maybe. Highlights were the cheddar biscuits and banana pudding.

Nashville is known for hot chicken. I was born and raised here, but not a huge hot chicken fan, and at 40, it’s not worth the heartburn.
This place is a perfect family place…why? Because kids love chicken tenders, moms, and dad like booze. They have boozey slushies.
Chicken is brined overnight and cooked to order. And our butts hadn’t got our seats warm before our fresh hot food was in front of us.
All sauces are made in-house, including ranch.
Header biscuits are as fluffy as a muffin, but light and cheesey like red lobsters.
Your eyes don’t deceive you. That is an almost 3in wide onion ring.
Fat guy pro tip, fold one in half, put Mac and cheese in it.
