The Table Cake was delicious, but will definitely fill you up. I’d recommend getting with 4 or more people to split with. The maple butter sauce and lemon zest paired well.
The Crispy Cod Sandwich was good. Cod was flaky with a light crust and it was two smaller pieces versus one large filet.
I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Food:
They have an awesome menu with lots to choose from. I had fully intended to get the Norwegian Benedict, which I had sampled at the event, but the thought of having an entire Apple Pecan Daisy Cake to myself was just too hard to say no to. So that’s what I ordered.
Now I realize that might be more like dessert, but that’s a whole other topic. The food came out in short order, and both my Daisy Cake and my friend’s Classic Benedict were excellent. Good temperature, spot-on flavors, and generous portions. I had to get a box to take some home.
I also ordered a Chai Latte, which they did an excellent job with. Lots of nice foam and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
Service:
We had great service the entire time. We were seated right away, and the waters and menus followed quickly. The place wasn’t crowded, so we felt like we could take our time, and that worked out well. The server did a nice job checking in with us: “How’s the food?”, “Do you need more water?”, and “Can I bring you a to-go box?” Friendly and efficient. Thanks, Ari.
Atmosphere:
This place is well designed. There’s lots of bright natural light coming through the windows, and the seating offers plenty of options. The noise level was good (even at the Yelp event when the place was full). It feels both upscale and relaxed.
This place checks all the boxes for either breakfast or lunch. I will definitely be returning.
I had the That’s My Jam and every bit of it was delicious. Normally I’m not a big fan of salad but the one that came with it was great and I loved it. My friend got the Farm to Fork and she ate every bit of it and when she asked for some jam, she got some right away. We will definitely be back with all of our friends!
Toasted pecans were candied just slightly enough to complement the mandarin oranges.
Antioxidants set me up for success, and I happened to spontaneously meet my close friend there!
Cheerful memories to be made here!
Second visit, (8 weeks apart) our waitress Melissa remembered us. Love that! The manager Michael was also very friendly when making sure we had a good experience, and he gave great suggestions and info about the menu. The Daisy Cakes are delicious and the maple butter ❤️. Another must is the mimosa flight! Perfect for two. Again, the environment, great food, fun drinks, and the friendly staff who go above and beyond make this place the complete package.

Have been very excited for Waking Daisy to open! The interior is beautiful, and the restaurant has outdoor seating.
The highlight of our meal here was the table pancakes – fluffy and soft, with a delectable honey maple butter sauce poured over it that seeped into the pancake, and topped with lemon zest for a hit of brightness. This plate was totally cleaned. If you aren’t sure what to get, you will not regret getting the Daisy Cakes!
As for our mains, we had the Chicken Schnitzel Caesar and the Korean Breakfast Bowl. We did notice that the bowl had an additional ingredient that wasn’t listed on the menu, the avocado – still not sure if it was meant to be there. Regardless, the pork belly was soft and very melt-in-your-mouth. The schnitzel stayed very crisp even under the salad for the entire duration of our meal. While both mains were solid, we did feel that both mains lacked some punch in flavor, but regardless we left satisfied.
Excited to see how Waking Daisy will grow and develop, and we will certainly be back for more Daisy Cakes!
