I’m new to the area and didn’t know where to find a good pizza or eggplant parm sandwich, so I looked at pizza photos from other shops and none of them looked as appealing as Wakefield House. That said, this was the most delicious pizza I’ve had in a while. Not super greasy, not thin or floppy. It’s a nice bite. I opted for the pepperoni and they hit a home run. It was unreal. So, I got that and a large eggplant sub, which as you can see, is enormous and another super tasty treat. Now, my mom is 100% Italian, so I know a good eggplant parm when I taste it and this one is incredible. Also, I met the owner and his son and they are both nice guys and offer superb customer service. I definitely recommend stopping by and trying the food. You will not be disappointed!

Great food, great people and consistency! Nice big screen TV with too sporting event of the day usually on.

The food is lousy. Pizza is too thick and doughy. Sometimes hardly any sauce. Bad blend of cheese. Digiornio frozen pizza is better. The only thing worse than the pizza is the roast beef. Christ. Again hardly any sauce on a 3 way. Instead of James River, they use some horrific sweet dark bbq. Walk in, employees are like dead in the eyes. Would a greeting and a smile kill you? Smh this place has some issues but a line of customers ain’t one.

My husband and I grew up in Wakefield. He joined the Air Force so we have spent 23 years moving around the country. Every time we visit home, we stop here first on the way to my in-laws in Greenwood lol. I remember walking down here as a kid to get a slice for a dollar, playing the arcades in the back room with my now hubby when we were dating as teens, stopping in after work and then introducing our children for the first time to this deliciousness over a decade ago. We will be in Wakefield tomorrow and you bet this will be our first stop!

Used to love the arcades as a kid. Pizza is great, beat Steak & Cheese subs in Wakefield, hands down.

John and his family are fantastic, I’ve been coming here for 20+ years and they’ve never let me down. I don’t even love Greek pizza but they’re just so consistent that you can’t over look them.

Woof. Mediocre quality everything. Placed a large order with 4 friends, the entire order was wrong. Not one thing was correct. Cheese on things we asked for no cheese on. Underwhelming Pizza that tasted like it was frozen. Fries that were soggy and sub rolls that were either stale or just bad quality. In any case I can find no reason to go back here. The people were extremely nice, I just wish their fare was better. 2 stars for awesome people. No stars for the food.

Consistently good food and good prices. For those who distinguish this is “Greek-style” pizza (crispy, puffy crust). Pizza is excellent here as well as almost everything else I’ve had. Cheese slices are usually available (and not upcharged, just $1.25!) for a quick stop in. Three subs really stand out to me, sausage, tuna, and meatball.

Also don’t mistake the oft-reserved demeanor of the staff as impolite, they’re very friendly, just a little brusque.

I swear they give me the worst pizza they can create every time i’ve gone in these days. Its too bad cuz i live down the street and have been coming here for over 10 years now, since i was a kid, and i used to love their pizza. Came in a few days ago and got a pepparoni pizza that came cold and barely cooked, seemed intentional. They got the TV blaring Fox News 24/7 too so enjoy

I grew up in Wakefield and use to go there when I was a puck 14 year old and play the video games. The owner, John, was always a gentleman to us even though we rarely bought anything. I moved when I was 18 and had not been back since last week. I went in there recently, Oct 2021, to see if it had changed much. To my surprise, John was there! We chatted and I ordered a steak and cheese. It was excellent. More importantly, I talked with john and he told me he had owned his restaurant since 1971. 50 years! That is impressive! God bless ya John!
