Probably needs a revamp, I probably understand it is themed to the name. However, place can use some cleaning. Coffee was okay, my wife didn’t like her latte and sandwiches didn’t feel fresh and they were out of majority menu items on a Monday morning. Prices seemed to be expensive. A good amount of seating space available though , Inside and a small sitting are outside.

Locally owned with a Key West vibe, this coffee shop is worth a visit. They have a drive up window option or seating inside. I always order a latte and my husband gets a hot chocolate. The baristas are super friendly and the drinks are always fresh, tasty and they even add the foam art when you take off the lid. They offer a rewards system with Cash App and you can gather points to use on bakery items or discounts later.

Wake zone is not your average coffee shop. Decked out in a beach theme, this place does not put you to sleep like other dimly lit coffee shops. However, the real winner here is the wake zone mocha on ice! My favorite drink.

Paid $3.59 for a coffee with half and half only to get the disgusting mess in the attached photo, with little chunks of undissolved creamer.
Their pastries are the size of the minis you get from a supermarket, literally 1-2 bite sized. The micro scone I got was as dry as plaster, truly vile.
This is all in sharp contrast to how pleasant the space itself is, which misleads you into thinking it’s a functional coffee shop. If only they would get their act together in terms of food and drinks!

I’m not sure what happened to this place over the years but I am no longer a fan. Before ordering a beverage I asked did they have a flavor in stock. (The supervisor in the previous weeks said she would order that flavor and told me to come back) I was told yes by two people behind the counter prior to ordering. I proceed to order, pay, and tip. 5 minutes into waiting a woman who had been waiting much longer than me had received the incorrect order and was not refunded or corrected. Then 10 minutes into me waiting for my order, I’m told that they DO NOT have the flavor I asked about prior to ordering. I ask for a refund. The supervisor/manager doesn’t know how to work the POS system well..as the same girl that told me it was okay to order is helping him with the system, I’m told that I HAVE BEEN REFUNDED. No receipt. They were flustered. It’s the next day, I have not been refunded. I show up to the store at the only time of day I have available…they aren’t even open for their opening business hour with no communication why.
I have been coming to this place since Wake Zone OPENED in apex… I’m obviously highly disappointed but yall can’t just take money from multiple people that didn’t receive what they ordered.

Told my daughter she could get any flavor Italian soda, but they probably didn’t have Unicorn. Never enjoyed being wrong this much before! We had a great time watching the staff invent it on the spot. Tasted great too!

This used to be a great place but it has super gone downhill in the past year or two. They literally only ever have teenagers working there who always seem completely lost, and it takes them forever to even just pour you a coffee. Whether you walk in or go through the drive-through bare minimum you’re going to spend 15 minutes there even if you just ordered a drip coffee. They are also out of at least three things no matter what you try to order. Like literally did not have half-and-half just now. I wanted an iced coffee, which they didn’t have. On an 80° day. So I ordered an iced Americano. I got a large cup of ice water with one shot of espresso, it was barely even brown. Absolutely disgusting. Something really needs to be done, the place is awful now.

Tried their Wake Zone Cloud drink! The milk has a great foamy texture. The store is cutely decorated, and very clean. Staff was friendly! Definitely want to return to try their other fun drinks.

Used to love it here- but came in today after not coming in a long time and it was terrible. The coffee was super bitter, watered down, and the syrups were so sweet and sitting at the bottom of the cup. The cookie was hard as a rock as if it had been sitting there for a couple days.
