This is a mom-and-pop restaurant where even the children help with operations (I love to see it). I noticed it was full of locals and they all knew the names of the people operating the business.
The menu has many local favorites, but we chose the corned beef hash loco mock and the chicken katsu; both came with white rice and over easy eggs.
The katsu chicken was delicious, but the corned beef hash loco moco was out of his world, I cannot recommend this dish enough.
DO NOT GO BY THE PRICES LISTED!!!! BOWLS ARE $10.99 cash $11.40 cc. Everything on the menu is about 30% higher then the posted prices. BUT it is still a great deal!!!!! This does not mean don’t come at all. It is just a heads up that these are non monitored prices. But place is busy with locals and the place is always cooking Good food, good people, and a huge variety of choices in the menu
They had wide variety of local Hawaiian delights at reasonable price.
I got my food between 5 to 8 minutes.
I also had Blueberry Cheese cake. Did not really like it though as there was more whip cream than cheese.
Place was clean and cool. I went around 1120hrs and it was half capacity occupancy. I’d imagine lunch time and dinner should be packed as food is really food.
Pretty good place to dine over shadowed by McDonalds. I will be going again and would recommend this place to anyone.
