Waianae may have a limited number of really good food options—like BBQ Kai, Saito & Pho, and the Thai food truck in Mākaha—but Waianae Korean BBQ is one of those hidden gems . Shhh, don’t tell anyone; I don’t want the line to get longer! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere has a laid-back vibe. I usually order the meat jun without rice, which lets me choose 6 sides instead of just 4. Highly recommend!

Wow!! Such a nice hidden gem!! We were just wandering around exploring this side of the island and got hungry and spotted this restaurant.
Exceptional service – such nice staff, clean and fast with placing and getting orders out. AND the food was entirely so delicious. I got the kimchee fried rice spam with 2 over easy eggs and my husband got the #1 House Combo (please excuse our plates because we had already began to dig in when it got to our table before I decided to take pictures lol)- extremely delicious and very well priced!! Probably the best kimchee fried rice I’ve had in a long time, honestly.

I had ordered take-out this evening. I haven’t eaten there due to skepticism; on the contrary, the aroma of the place was amazing, the food was on-point, the customer service was great, and i will be returning, definitely a must stop if you are in the waianae area and don’t feel like driving to kapolei for mouth-watering bbq. also the mac salad was immaculate, and not mushy like most places. Love that !

The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. If you love Korean BBQ you must try this place. It’s only about a 20-25 minute drive from Kapolei. There are tables to sit and eat at too. I will definitely go back.

This is a hidden gem in Waianae. I ordered the mini combo for $14.50. The amount of food is enough for two or one person with a large appetite. The mini comes with a boneless teriyaki chicken thigh, pieces of beef teriyaki, spam, and two shrimp tempura. It also comes with four sides. The banchan was fresh, I chose the kim Chee, cucumber kim Chee, macaroni salad, and fish cake. It also comes with a half a plate of rice. The food is ono and you will not be disappointed. It’s a little more than a fast food meal and much more worth it in food and flavor.
