A pretty good experience I would say. I love burgers and this might just be my go to burger near home. I’ve always wanted to try Wahlburgers, but there was never one nearby until now. It is located inside the Hy-vee store. It will be on your left after you enter the building. I ordered the “Our Burger” and it looked very presentable and tasty. It was a little greasy, but it was a good portion to fill me up along with a basket of fries and a drink. I’d say its a very well priced burger meal for 10 bucks.

First time having Wahlburgers. This location is inside a Hy-Vee grocery store, so I didn’t rate the atmosphere as high as I might a standalone store.
I ordered the BBQ Bacon burger, tots and a drink and my wife got the Our Burger, tots and a drink.
I was expecting bacon strips like at most burger joints, but this has bacon crumbles. I’m not saying it’s a good it bad thing, just that it’s different than “normal”. The burger was good though, I liked the toasted bun and the BBQ sauce was nice and tangy. The tots were cooked to my idea of perfection.
I’d like to see what the atmosphere is like at a standalone store at some point.

The only reason I am giving any stars, is because I can’t post without any. I have never tried Wahlburgers before, but I have always wanted to. Jenny took my order; she was very helpful and friendly. She answered all my questions, but that is where the pleasant experience ended. I ordered the burger combo, burger, side and a drink. I had ordered a burger cooked medium, no American cheese, sub pepperjack, no onion with fries and not tots. Pretty simple order. I received a burger cooked well done, at least it was still juicy. There were onions on the burger. The American cheese was melted on top with a slice of pepperjack on top of that. Obviously the “cook” noticed they put American and not pepperjack. Instead of fixing the problem, they just put more cheese on top. I received and order tots and not fries. I was already out of the location and in my car when I saw, or I would have returned. I figured I would still give it a try. The burger was basic at best, your typical frozen patty cooked on a flattop. The bun tasted like it was just pulled out of a bag from and had the burger placed on it. I would swear it wasn’t even toasted, but I did see some sort of toasting on the edges. Zero wow factor, I was not impressed. I honestly would have enjoyed a McDonald’s burger over this one. I can only hope that not all Wahlburgers are like this. I would not recommend eating here.

I wanted to take my wife and son out for dinner and a movie. Special night since we don’t get out much. We each had a burgers (well done) and tots and also ordered a side of tots that had cheese and bacon.
The order of tots that had cheese and bacon were $10 and wouldn’t have been enough to feed my 5 year old. Very small serving size.
About half way through the meal my son (11years old) was saying how pink his burger was. He’s not one to complain about his food so I took a look. The burger was RAW. I took the burger back up to the counter and told the cashier. He then asked me what I wanted him to do about it. I told him to either make another one or give me my money back. He took the burger to the cook and the cook was mad I brought it back. He said he just shut the grill off and can’t make anymore food. It was around 8:15 pm and they close at 9pm. How do you turn your grill off almost an hour before you close? I got nothing but bad looks like I was the one in the wrong.
They did refund me for the burger but I will never go back to that location.

The employees were courteous and accommodating. I ordered a BBQ Bacon Burger and tator tots, it took a little while to come out, but it was hot and fresh when it did. Burger was cooked to order and the prices were reasonable for upscale fast food.

Asked for sauce on side, didn’t get it. We both ordered bacon on our burgers, didn’t get it. When we told the girl she took our trays and brought us back the burgers with bacon that was SO burnt it was literally black. I said wow.. I’m not eating that and she just walked away. Did the cook or the server look at the bacon? I don’t know anyone that would eat black charred bacon. We went back and got a refund, we won’t ever return to wahlburgers at Hy-Vee ever again.. that’s a promise. Shameful.

The family and I have always loved eating at the Wahlburgers at HyVee in Sycamore. Great staff and one of the best things they do is host different small events for kids. Recently they have had Bluey at the restaurant and the kids loved meeting her and taking pictures and eating dinner. Always and highly recommended!

First off my Wahlburgers gift card would not work – she “thinks” maybe because it is a Hyvee Wahlburger not regular Wahlburger. Fried pickles were not crispy but soggy. Tator tots were all clumped together. Much to my surprise when I open the box for the burger there was no top bun. Waited at least 10 minutes for meal to come out. Very disappointing experience.

This place is a joke. We got here early and waited 35 minutes until they opened for lunch. No problem. So we looked on the menu online and had our choices ready when it was open. Well they only have select items and only can make a few things. WHY BOTHER HAVING ITEMS ONLINE IF YOU CANT GET THEM? WEll we will not waste anymore of our time here. It can’t be that good if they don’t have majority of the foods here. What can you expect it’s in a grocery store.

I waited 40 minutes for my burger and when they brought it, they forgot the side, so about 45 minutes in and out the door. The food was ok but a little undercooked.
