For lunch today, I thought to try Wahkee Chinese Cuisine. I ordered through GrubHub and picked up our order.
Their lunch specials were good value and great quality. Each of the lunch specials come with crab rangoon, egg roll and soup (I chose egg drop soup). We had the Shrimp and Vegetables, Sesame Chicken, and Triple Delight. For the most part, all the food was good. The chicken was slightly dry. I still recommend trying their lunch specials.

I forgot to take pictures but the food is delicious. Okay, I came back for a second time and they did not disappoint. Lena was our waitress and she’s so nice. The service was great. My husband had lo mein and I had moo goo gai pan. We both had hot and sour soup and it was delicious.

I order regularly and enjoy what I get quite often, however the beef kabobs are an utter disappointment. Complete false advertising based on the picture from the online menu. That and the beef was dry as a rock and about as flavorful as one as well. I get it, it’s 5 bucks, but I really wish I could have my money back from this. Don’t be fooled like me

The shrimp and walnut dish was simply the two ingredients covered in a slightly sweetened mayonnaise. When I’d asked about it beforehand and she said the sauce was mayonnaise, it assumed it was mayo based, not just mayo with some sugar. I couldn’t eat more than four bites; it was so disgusting. My husband had the fried chicken which he said was dry. They also have some EXTRA large fish swimming with some large fish in two tanks that are way too small for them so add in some poor animal husbandry as the icing on this nasty cake.

I was very skeptical about this place because of the bad reviews but we tried it anyway. I was very impressed food was good and we will do this again. Price was decent. My suggestion is if you’re going to place an order, I would not have it delivered. I would pick it up myself.

This was recommended by a family member. It’s located in the shopping on Blanco & 1604 right behind the whataburger . We arrived for lunch. The cost is affordable. I ordered the Hunan Chicken off the lunch specials. The temperature was hot, the spicy was 3 of 5, and the value for lunch was great. You get wonton soup with the entree , and both an egg roll & rangoon, and rice. Drinks are separate but priced right. I would come back soon and would like to try more favorite dishes to see how they fair.

Food is always really good, their General Tso’s chicken is always my go to. The only problem is that its so good i dont want to try anything else out. The service is okay, its not bad, just a little more reserved. The waitress I had was pleasant but seemed kinda…distant? I’m not sure how else to describe it but in all fairness to her, I came an hour before closing and ordered a lot of food so maybe she was just tired. Totally understand, been there done that.
If you’re thinking about going I suggest that you do! Try their Hot and sour soup too!

I started checking this place out about five years ago and discovered that this is a great hidden gem! Although I’ve never eaten inside, I’ve ordered takeout from them many times. I can’t remember ever having to wait more than 15 minutes for my order to be ready and compare to some of the other nearby Chinese restaurants this place always has fresh tasting hot and fresh food! My current favorite is sweet-and-sour chicken with the fried rice and cheese Rangoon although sometimes I will get the General Tsaos chicken.
If you’re looking for a great food at great prices, that’s fresh and ready when you are, don’t pass this place up!
