Another fantastic visit to Wahaca in Covent Garden, our third in three years, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The consistency of the food here is incredible, making it a place we can return to again and again. We started with the non-alcoholic margarita and the strawberry and mint cooler, both of which were wonderfully refreshing, alongside tortilla chips and guacamole that were delicious. The sweet potato bravas were the highlight of the evening for us. We then enjoyed the chicken quesadillas, the corn, bean and feta tostada, and the gringa tacos, all of which were lip-smackingly good. A great experience once again, we will definitely be back next year.

It was our first visit to Wahaca (Covent Garden), I had pre-booked as wasn’t sure how busy the restaurant got, although our booking was early 5pm, but it was a Friday evening in London! We were seated quickly and introduced to our server Paulina who was very knowledgeable and explained the menu in length. Drinks ordered and delivered quickly, Paulina then took our order; House Nachos were ordered to share, then 2 x Pibil Burrito and Slow-Cooked Beef Burrito, Buttermilk Chicken Taco, Pork Pibil Taco & Grilled Ajillo Chicken Club Quesadilla. The food was served as it was ready and it was fantastic or banging as our teenage boys say!

Fantastic Mexican food in the heart of Covent Garden. Every dish was vibrant, fresh and full of flavour, with a great mix of textures and spice. The menu is perfect for sharing and trying a variety of dishes, and the cocktails are excellent too.
The atmosphere is lively and fun, and despite being very busy the service was friendly and efficient. A reliable go-to for a great meal and a buzzing night out.

Excellent meal and drinks in Wahaca. The food was delicious particularly the esquites and the haloumi taco. Also loved the margarita flight where you could taste 3x different types of margarita. Superb service and overall great for a low key easy night out.

What a brilliant way to spend a Sunday lunch.

Wahaca has added a flurry of new dishes to the menu, and they’ve absolutely nailed them. The esquites — bright, smoky corn in a cup — were wonderful. The pork belly skewer arrived like a tiny festival on a stick, and the tiramisu for dessert was quietly glorious. There’s also a new white-bean-and-chorizo dip with the chips that deserves its own little round of applause.

Asia, our server, was an absolute delight — attentive, warm, and the sort of person who makes the whole visit feel a notch brighter.

A genuinely lovely meal. Would happily return. ✨

I think Wahaca is the most slept upon chain in London.
The flavours are great, the quality is good. Everything’s fresh and all the options are quite healthy.
I had a very filling lunch under £35 (with service), which is very reasonable for the location.

Had my last meal in London here. The restaurant has amazing interiors and cute decor, with a large, spacious layout. Tried the grilled chicken avocado tacos and chicken quesadilla-both felt a bit basic compared to other taco spots. Loved the avocado cos and spinach salad though. Overall, a good experience thanks to the vibrant ambience.

The menu was expansive and if you’re like us and you’re not sure what to order, go for the ‘Feasting Menu’. It says it’s for two but we could share two sets amongst 5 of us, 3 below 15 years old.

The highlight for us were the vegetarian options such as the Sweet Potato & Feta Taquito. The sweet potato was baked and the insides were creamy and sweet. Topped with feta cheese, tomatoes and a mixture of sauces (I have no idea what!) and they just go so well. The Beet Tartare Tostadas was also a splendid surprise. Buttermilk Chicken Tacos and Grilled Brindisa Chorizo Quesadilla were our faves as well.

Just make sure that you make reservations on their website. We were there on a Friday evening and I heard that it was an hour wait if you walk-in.

Amazing food, Gabriela was so nice and her recommendation of the chorizo nachos was really good. The food was the best I’ve had, even though the restaurant was so busy from the theatre performance we went to the staff were amazing and food came out in good time. Couldn’t fault it thanks so much for making our trip to London lovely.
