I’ve had hundreds of hamburgers over the years, but tonight was one of the best. The quality of meat, cooked a perfect medium, was absolutely top notch. I got the double hamburger, and should have gotten a single. There was a lot of meat! Accompanied fries were good and hot also. I ordered a spicy bloody mary and it was only mildly spicy imo, but good. Also ordered a margarita, and although made with a margarita mix, was serviceable. We definitely will return.

Update 09/2025
Happened to be traveling the same route on the bikes and remembered this place from a few years ago. Thought we’d stop again. So glad we did. Still a five-star visit. Food, service, prices, atmosphere…all excellent. If I remember from our previous visit, they also re-asphalted the parking up front. Great for motorcycles. Will stop again, given the opportunity.

Good food, good service and good ole hometown hospitality. Would stop again.

Love this place. Drove from Chicago and decided to take a detour from our road trip to Colorado Springs to go check out the Lewis and Clarke state park in Nebraska on our way out from the park is all country road gas stations and restaurants were almost non existent on this road. Finally passed a restaurant which we were so thankful for cause we were starving. Came in place was lively and friendly. They close at 10pm we walked in around 945 and still received full service. Waitress said if someone walks in at 10pm for some food the kitchen will stay open to serve them. Pool tables and foosball in the back of the restaurant. Our waitress and I’m guessing they were the owners gave us superb friendly service. Even offered to brew us some coffee for our long night drive to Colorado. Food was excellent. Their little salad bar was impressive. Great cole slaw and crab salad. My son ordered a steak and it was delish. All of us gobbled our fresh hot food down. I fell in love with this place if I lived closer I would definitely be back. Decor was really cute too. Cant say enough good things about place.

I had the hot beef. Absolutely delicious! And wonderful heaping portions.

4 stars because there is a Long wait for meals. Hopefully, it will pick up pace soon as they get more established.

We road trip across the country every summer. It has been 2 years since we ate here and the kids still talk about it every time we go on a long trip. What do they remember most? The giant cat that lived on the porch with the crazy purr and meow.

Think hospitality is dead? Stop by this place, they’ll prove you wrong. The bartender is cordial, attentive, and a damn funny guy to boot.

Whoever they got running the grill is also on point. Definitely recommend the steak

They have some hilarious signs around the place too, pictured was my favorite.

Love the Primerib on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Chicken fried steak on Thursdays! And if you’re not that hungry they’ve got the best chicken strips I’ve ever had!
