A neat, low key diner, with pleasant staff and amazing food. I had chicken fried steak, it came with home made gravy, eggs and hash browns… all very tasty, very filling. Great place for a weekend pit stop on the way to Bartlett lake.

A dive bar-style cafe with terrific food and service. The made-to-order breakfast is very good. The staff is very friendly. NOt much of a place on esthetics, but you come for the food!

Quaint authentic restaurant. They are only open until about 1245pm. The food is delicious, hot & fresh.
We had breakfast items & we were all stuffed, happy & full from our meals.
Place is very old & rustic which adds to it’s charm in Cave Creek.

Be aware they only take CASH, no credit or debit cards.

There’s even a message in the bathroom about the plumbing being finicky & to put paper & other things in the trash can.
Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.
Will go again, definitely recommend as a good breakfast place.

This is a legendary spot right on Cave Creek road that has been around for years. I’m surprised I have not reviewed it yet. Well, here we go. Chops with eggs and potatoes. Pork chops were great, of otatoes were awesome and these are the best sunny-side up eggs I can find anywhere. The service was fast and friendly and I am definitely going to be back for more. Just a word of caution, it is cash only!

My wife and I eat there every Sunday. Service is great and the staff is very friendly. We have the same thing every week and when we enter it is started by the kitchen staff if they see us enter. The comment from Anthony Sansone doesn’t make much sense. I have been there when orders were not correct and they are quick to make it right. We have ham and cheese omelets every week and they are never burnt as you said you had. You must not have told anyone or it would have been corrected. Been a customer for about 20 years. Food is a good now as it ever was. Sometimes when it gets crowded it may take them a minute to get to you but never rude to anyone that I have noticed. You can’t stay in business if you are rude to customers because they will not come back and your doors will close. Keep up the good work everyone.

Average at best…. I was super excited to try out this hole in the wall, dive looking restaurant! I love a good dive! The staff was nice, but the service was pretty dismal. The food portion was OK and I was able to finish everything on my plate. Don’t let the picture fool you because the plate is pretty tiny and makes the food look like it’s filling a big plate! The food didn’t seem like anything spectacular and was really just basic. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the gravy was flavorful.

Nice little diner on the way to down town Cave Creek. Biscuits and gravy were excellent, home fries were delicious. I highly recommend this quaint little establishment. Overall 4 stars

My favorite! Love the food and service. Don’t go if you’re looking for avocado toast and champagne. It’s not that kind of place. But if you’re good with getting a little dust on the tires give it a try. I promise you’ll be back. Note: bring greenies; it’s cash only.

To start they take cash only which isn’t that big of a deal but beware before you go. Next when me and my girlfriend went to order the waitress was a bit rude and short with us. When the food came out I got something completely different than what I ordered. We had ordered omelets and I got the Spanish omelet and I ended up with the western omelet. The ham was cut into such huge chunks that I had to take two bites of each piece. The omelets were both overcooked and burned as well. The potatoes were probably the best part but only when they were smothered in ketchup. The waitress did not check up on us once or let me know where the atm was. Another customer had to inform me of the location. Ended up paying almost $30 for cold, burnt omelets.

You come to the wagon wheel for that small town cafe feel and good home cooking. You don’t come if you’re looking for a trendy, bright, sterile aesthetic. This is where you’ll find the old Cave Creek locals who have been coming for years. This is where you’ll find reasonable prices for good food.

Biscuits and sausage gravy is my favorite breakfast, and these were fine, but the standout is the chicken fried steak! It’s lightly breaded, so you get full flavor instead of just breading. It’s just the right amount and not too filling. There’s something about having a simple cup of coffee amongst old cowboys, a screened-in porch, and John Wayne photos. Reminds me of childhood.
