We had an excellent experience overall. The service was attentive and professional, and the staff was genuinely welcoming. The evening special, prime rib with shrimp, was cooked exactly right. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The beer was cold and fresh. Up until the end, everything ran smoothly.
Unfortunately, the atmosphere shifted when a party of four was seated nearby. One member of the group loudly confronted the staff about a reservation that apparently had not been recorded. While I understand that reservation issues can be frustrating, the response was excessive. She repeatedly berated the young staff members who were clearly trying to resolve the situation. Even her husband appeared embarrassed and attempted to calm her.
To the restaurant’s credit, the staff handled the situation with patience and professionalism. The disruption was not their fault, but it did change the tone of the room. It was disappointing to see employees treated that way.
Overall, the food and service were excellent, and I would return.

Fantastic Dining Experience at WAGG’S STEAK & SEAFOOD!
I recently had a wonderful meal at WAGG’S STEAK & SEAFOOD RESTAURANT on Christina Street in Sarnia, and I can’t wait to share my positive experience! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The dining space is nicely laid out with plenty of room, ensuring a comfortable and relaxed meal.
The food itself was truly outstanding. I started with the Coconut Shrimp appetizer, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful. For my main course, I opted for the Regular Cut steak, cooked exactly to my liking – tender and juicy. I also sampled the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, which were rich and delicious. My companion enjoyed the Adult Chicken Fingers, which were a satisfying and elevated take on a classic.
To complement our meal, I enjoyed a smooth 6oz glass of Santa Carolina Merlot, and we also had a large pop. The food serving sizes were generous, and the presentation was great. It was a truly good Canadian food experience, showcasing quality ingredients and skillful preparation.
The service we received was excellent – attentive, friendly, and efficient. Furthermore, the restaurant offers good parking areas, making it easy and convenient to visit. While the price point was okay, the overall value for the quality of food and service was definitely worthwhile.

We booked a valentines reservation a few weeks ahead of time and when we showed up, the host said there was nothing booked. I had a feeling that this might happen as the lady I spoke to on the phone said she was upstairs in the office and not near the reservations book. She confirmed that she could fit us in at 5pm and when we showed up, they said there was nothing booked. This left us with no reservation on Valentine’s Day and were extremely disappointed as they said they would mark it into the reservation book and she didn’t.

Had an amazing meal, it was my girlfriend and I and we had the prime rib super cut and lobster tails… the lobster tails were huge and the prime rib was thick and perfectly rare. The side mashed and twice baked potato were also great. Garnish veggies were awesome and we left stuffed! The service was great and never had an empty drink.

My husband and I took my parents to Waggs – it was the first time for all of us. We all ordered the prime rib. I think it was the best I’ve ever had, so flavourful and melt in your mouth. We really enjoyed our dinner. Service was great too. You would never think to go in based on the outside, but nice enough inside and you go for the prime rib which is so very worth it. We will definately return!

We booked a small wedding dinner (16 people) with only 3 weeks notice. Teresa and her staff went above and beyond in organizing this event. Firstly, they managed to set up the table in the bar which gave us privacy. Secondly, the table setting was beautiful along with wedding balloons & decorations in the room. We had ordered a charcuterie board and it looked fantastic, well displayed and plentiful. Jodi, our server was absolutely amazing. She took control of the table and took both drink and food orders in a most efficient and friendly manner. The appetizer & main course were brought to the table in a timely manner with the help of other staff, all of whom were very friendly. After dinner, I told Teresa that everything was perfect; and it was. The Bride, Groom and all the guests raved about the food, service and ambiance of the entire evening. Thank you Teresa and staff for creating this most memorable occasion.

This is the second time coming to Waggs. Three weeks ago was our first time. And the food ( lobster)
And all we had was the best i have had..
Tonight was our anniversary and my husband wanted to make it special.
Well it was not the same experience we had the first time. I ordered the lobster again. It was very tasty and was very hard to cut. My mashed potatoes where Luke warm and the is giving it some. The butter wouldn’t even melt. My husband had pirm rib and the first one was sent back. Meat was cold. The second one was a little better but not much. His soup was the best part of his supper. It is sad to pay over $125.00 for a good meal and my husband was still hungry when we left.
It will be a very long time before we come back.
It sure wasn’t the chief we had the first time. Waitress was fine.

Went for a Christmas party. Food was ok, ordered a Ribeye, heard the waitress say to another waitress they ran out of ribeyes, not sure what they gave me but it was terrible, best guess was prime rib cooked into a steak. Likely won’t be back, after spending around $1200 that night. All they had to do was tell me, I would have chose something different.
