We were served a dish with hair in the food in which we informed the waiter about this and they just swapped the food as if it was nothing – they were still going to charge us! I had to ask for it to be removed as we were completely put off the dish.
I have an allergy and asked to check if it’s possible to swap with an alternative ingredient, to which I was never informed if they were able to swap so assumed all was okay and when I began to enjoy the product it instantly came to my attention that I had been given the original ingredient!!! Asked for tap water was charged full price for bottled water. Very lovely interior and quick service for too, just a huge shame about such a shambolic experience. We weren’t compensated on anything reg the hair dish and would have thought maybe we would be as quite an unpleasant situation to experience. We left feeling quite shocked and disappointed in this branch as we have previously had such. Wonderful experience a few months ago there.
I would also add that the portion sizes seem to be smaller too. Even with a blue light discount, I will not be returning.
I would say the service was very good and the food was as good as expected, although less off it.
She was extremely helpful and caring as we weren’t familiar with the menu..Even bringing me a knife unpromted as I had ordered steak..
Food arrived promptly and was delicious apart from the steak being rather chewy..
Overall, great service, nice food beautiful venue..
Staff were all attentive, friendly and efficient. Our server Aline was fantastic. Checking we were all OK and enjoying our meal aswell as interacting with my 1.5 year old daughter. Made the whole evening so much better and genuinly very impressed with how she acted bith with professionalism anf kindness.
Aside from that the food was also great!
As a family of three who were going to order a full meal, shortly after being seated, we were told by a young member of staff that our four-year-old daughter was not allowed to continue eating a small Jude’s ice cream she was already halfway through.
What made this particularly uncomfortable was the practical reality of the situation. This was not a packet of snacks that could simply be put away. It was a melting ice cream being eaten by a young child.
We fully appreciate that restaurants have policies. However, the complete lack of flexibility or situational judgement in this moment felt unnecessarily rigid and not especially family-friendly. We ultimately chose to leave without ordering.
This experience has unfortunately changed how we feel about visiting in future.
Waitress was great but dropped a star as we were not able to get our bill to leave and had to go to the bar.
