It’s always a good time at Wagamama’s! The food is consistent, delicious, and nutritious. And the team are always welcoming. We were served by Liv, who offered attentive service. We visited last week, on a Monday evening. The environment was calm, and relaxed. Green tea is offered free of charge, and we’ll enjoy several cups throughout our meal.

On this particular evening, we enjoyed the oyster + shiitake mushroom bao buns with panko aubergine and mayo, these had such a rich umami flavour, every bite was savoured. Having dined with Wagamama’s many times before, this was our first time trying the pickles — and potentially our last. We were hoping for stronger, more pronounced flavours, though they all had a similar taste.

A Wagamama’s visit is not complete without the yasai vegetable gyoza with a spiced vinegar sauce, they’re a staple! A festive twist on a classic, we tried the cranberry yasai katsu curry, with panko sweet potato, butternut squash and aubergine, sticky white rice, cranberry katsu curry sauce, and salad — this was a delight. Tart and sweet bursts of cranberry mixed through savoury warm katsu, I had to ask for extra sauce!

And for dessert: panko bao filled with a scoop of ice cream and sauce. We tried the miso caramel and toffee, and the matcha and chocolate. Reminiscent of a doughnut, the inner bao was not soft and fluffy as I was expecting. It feels as if they are pre-cooked, presumably to make service a little smoother during busy periods. The miso caramel ice cream is sweet and salty, pairing perfectly with the toffee sauce. And the matcha ice cream is creamy, with a strong matcha flavour, and pairs well with chocolate sauce. The bao nut being made fresh to order would certainly elevate this dish, with the ice cream melting as it arrives inside of the hot fried dough.

In any event, we leave Wagamama’s feeling nourished, and well taken care of.

Stopped by Wagamama Norwich for a quick bite, and it didn’t disappoint. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out super fast. Loved the cozy vibe inside—perfect for a casual meal with friends or even solo. Definitely coming back for the chicken wings again!

It was a very busy Saturday lunchtime when I went to pick up my order, but they still acknowledged me right away and I received my order within a few minutes. It was a very nice surprise to receive complimentary brownies on Valentines day – thank you!

Went to wagas for the first time ever!! It was a busy Saturday, the wait to be seated was about 10 minutes (pretty damn good) however the time it took us to get served was about 40 minutes (fully appreciate it was really busy though). The food was lovely, and my dairy allergy was handled really well! The server (Sophie) was also very friendly and understanding when I took a little while giving my order due to my anxiety.

I come here quite often. Maybe not every week, but a dozen or so times a year. If you want to wait over an hour for your food, feel free. We go as a couple. It’s usually not too bad. But this is the second time it’s happened to us. We placed an order and waited forever. Then, only one dish arrived, so we could eat it without it getting cold. But we never got our second dish. The service has become terrible. The prices are incredibly high. I thought that even though the quality hadn’t changed, the prices wouldn’t be so bad. But unfortunately, the quality has also dropped. I really regret it because I used to love coming here for a hot soup or some really good pasta.

Came to wagamama today for my 21st birthday and it was an absolutely wonderful experience, the food made by head chef Mario was divine and I even got a free birthday dessert ! Our server Ash was bright and welcoming and took every joke my dad threw his way ! If I could give 10/10 I would, I’ll definitely be coming again.

The food here was absolutely fantastic. However, the overall experience left much to be desired. As a first-time visitor, I found the ordering process quite confusing. Scanning the QR code and signing up for an account seemed unnecessary, especially as it didn’t even allow me to place an order. It took some time before a server came over to assist, which added to the frustration.

The seating arrangement was an introverts nightmare, feeling more like a crowded canteen, with barely any space between tables. It was difficult to relax or have a proper conversation, especially with the loud music though perhaps that’s just my “boomer” perspective.

In short, the food was first class, but the service and atmosphere didn’t quite match up for me.

Brilliant meal. Lovely friendly staff, great menu choices including drinks (mocktails too!). The build your own Donburi bowl is fantastic, and I strongly recommend the hot honey chicken. Generous portions – i couldn’t finish mine! Reasonable pricing too, I’ll be back!
