Visited today and had a great experience. The food was fresh, flavourful, and arrived quickly, exactly what you want. Portions were generous and everything tasted spot on.

Brilliant place to eat, great food every time I’ve been here. I’ve never been disappointed with any of Wagamama’s food, at any branch.
Today was my first time dining at the Exeter Central branch, as I have been waiting months to get in, only because every time I’ve attempted to in the past the queue has been out of the door. Clearly very popular.
I ordered the hot fried chicken wings, bao buns and the steak teriyaki soba. It was very good quality food as always, the steak was cooked perfectly, the chicken was crispy and the bao buns were soft and fluffy.
Yet again Wagamama’s has failed to disappoint me. The staff are also very helpful, with fast service and very happy to help with any issues.
Another great feature of Wagamama’s is the payment system. You simply scan a QR code on the menu and you’re taken to the pay screen on your mobile device, where you can select your items to pay, divide equally or select custom amounts. This is very helpful for when you’re eating with friends, and makes paying quick and simple.
The only reason I gave 4 stars for atmosphere was because it was rather quiet, however this was indeed because it was 11 in the morning. I’m sure it was as busy as I usually see it later on.

– Sadly not as tasty as it looked, I had the mushroom pho but I felt it lacked flavour, the mushrooms to me did not taste very strong. Lunch time deal good. ✅ It took a while to ask for bill!

We had to wait a bit to get served but when we did the food came quickly and tasted very good. The only issue we had was when we asked for the bill the server said he would be one moment and then he didn’t come back so we got someone else to get the bill. But over all it was very nice.

Food came cold. Food was dry. Service was slow. Could not get any attention. Manager tried to help after searching for one. Space is small. Paid full price for cold food. Payment online. Couldn’t seem to use rewards at this branch. Wasn’t nice. Sat on a dirty bench. Didn’t have time to discuss the cold food as nobody was around. Disappointed. Wouldn’t come again.

We finally went to Wagamama. There is usually a queue outside so we don’t bother and we go somewhere else. This time, we waited, and it was fairly worth it. The person who was serving us was really nice. We sat by the table where, with small space, join is another couple, which was a bit weird. We would prefer to sit by a separate table. We’ve been given menu when we were waiting outside so we made our minds . The food was presented and tasted really nice. I had main , cocktail and dessert. My partner had additionally bao buns as a starter, which he unfortunately didn’t like . We were happy without our mains and drinks. One of the cheesecakes was unavailable at the time, so we needed to choose different. It was quite busy that day so it shouldn’t come as a surprise. The food is not the cheapest once, but portions should be sufficient. Main was about 14 – 18 £ . Prices of drinks vary. My one was 9£ and my partners 7£. Desserts had similar prices, so about 6 to 8£. We definitely will go there again as there is plenty of choice on the menu, but it will be for a special occasion.

We had an overall good experience but I can’t give it 5 stars as I often feel a little underwhelmed after visiting.
My issue is that I don’t ever like to order the ‘standard’ and by that I don’t order Katsu Curry or Ramen. I ordered the chili beef salad which was…ok…but for an £18 ‘chef recommends’ dish I feel I should proper love it.
The reason it does get a high rating is the children’s meal are excellent value and perfect for our children. I feel that the children’s ramen – which is only £6 is fantastic value.
The only other frustrating thing was that the children’s Bento boxes (another great value meal) came out at least 10 minutes after the first meal can out.
