We checked this place out for dinner recently and had a good time. Conveniently located in the shops of OWA, this place is spacious inside. Our group of 5 sat comfortably in a booth/table. They also have seating at their bar. The menu is unique with a wide variety of options from breakfast items to waffle sandwiches. We started with a mimosa flight which came with 4 different juice flavors with the prosecco. Some were ok, some were not the greatest (strawberry and sherbet). The chicken and waffles were excellent. The chicken and waffle skewers were great. My daughter enjoyed her kids breakfast plate and my father-in-law enjoyed the wild ranch tacos. We weren’t exactly sure of the vibe. It seems there is a speak easy component. The waitresses were dressed up like flappers and there are poker nights. However, the chicken was fantastic and they are definitely worth checking out.

Waffles R Wild is the waffle house to go to!

We chose this restaurant for our family vacation. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. The owner Danielle is incredible and clearly has a heart for food. She has an elegant palate. It takes a special soul to invent delicious concoctions, drizzle them over our daily bread, and express her desire to share it with the world. Danielle’s food is indeed a blessing. Everyone must visit. The family service is very loving. One can sense the love , connection, and hard work that has been put into the restaurant. The building is beautiful. The restaurant decor is homey. We will be going for breakfast (and trying something not listed below) before our departure back home. Thank you so much for blessing us Waffles R Wild and Danielle.

Friend and I were going for first time. Went for brunch. Ordered Belgian waffle with apple filling, coffee and tea. Coffee awful and not hot enough to add a creamer, iced tea not good. Both $4 each.
Waffle was large but doughey and filling was minced apples and way too sweet.
Were there for over two hours as we were visiting and no one else came in. Will not go back. Place is cute though. Waitress very nice.

We ordered the nachos with beef, but unfortunately, they didn’t meet restaurant-level quality. The dish came with what seemed like chopped-up hamburger patties over lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, nacho cheese, and chips. The salsa also tasted store-bought. We had ordered drinks, but they arrived after our main courses, which was a bit disappointing.

For the food itself — I had the garlic parmesan waffle bites and would rate them a 4/10. My husband ordered the Cowboy and gave it a 6/10. My sister got the Joker’s Chicken & Waffles, which she rated a 3/10, as the chicken was bland and slightly undercooked.

Overall, the experience didn’t quite match the prices, as the quality of food and timing of service fell short of expectations.

I was hesitant to come here because the reviews are pretty good but some say the food isn’t seasoned and the service was slow. That was NOT our experience. We are locals we had 7 of us come in on a Saturday evening. Service was fantastic. The food…was so GOOD! We got a lot of it. We had the nachos, waffle bites and fries with queso and bacon for appetizers. We got chicken and waffles, onion rings, tacos, the Mac and cheese tastes like my mommas does. We tried savory and sweet waffles. Out of 7 people and everyone trying each plate no one had a complaint. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the portions were huge. The wait for food was not long at all, they only had 3 tables but all were bigger parties. We all left very full and will definitely return. The drink selection and decor was great too!

Today was our first time trying this restaurant. We are locals and saw a Mother’s Day advertisement, so we thought we’d give it a try. We made reservations too. Upon arriving, we waited a few minutes and then were seated. We received our drinks pretty quickly, but then waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken and then another 20 minutes for the food to be served. This restaurant is badly understaffed, especially since they advertised a Mother’s Day event. The food is okay, but overpriced in my opinion. The french toast was delicious. At this point, I’m not sure we’d return due to poor service. Also, our meal was almost $60 for 3 people, but they still charged a credit card fee. Ridiculous, because who actually carries cash nowadays?

This is a cool little place in the OWA center in foley.
I am not a huge fan of waffles but there are many choices here.
I had a grilled chicken salad and it was fantastic!
The service is awesome, locally owned and operated.
I met a group of ladies here for Mahjong and they were so accommodating.
I would definitely recommend this place.

We visited here in beginning of December on a Tuesday morning. Very quiet at the Owa. The restaurant was playing lovely Christmas music and had all the decor set up. I ordered a variety of breakfast sides for my meal- waffles, grits, eggs, and hashbrowns. The waffles were incredible and had a unique yet familiar taste! The eggs were perfectly cooked. The original grits had just enough butter flavor. The hashbrowns were your standard hash brown, but much better than fast food.
Roxanne was our server and was very attentive. We enjoyed our visit to this restaurant & encourage tourists (or locals) to give this place a try!
