Every time I take a bite of the Vegetarian Delight with home fries at Waffles, INCaffeinated (Fifth Ave), I’m reminded of Ratatouille. Not because of any single ingredient, but because of how everything comes together. This dish is proof that magic happens in harmony.

A hard-cooked egg, mushrooms, cheese, fried tomato, basil, herbs, and a perfectly spicy mayo – each good on its own, but transcendent together. The real pro move? Alternating bites of the omelet with their legendary home fries: a perfectly fried mix of colored potatoes, sweet potatoes, capsicum, and onion. Textbook execution. Zero notes.

If you’re anywhere near Downtown Pittsburgh, this is a must-visit. I’ve eaten my way through 10 countries across 4 continents, and I still haven’t found anything quite like this.
Fun fact #1: I recently relocated back to Pittsburgh, and yes – this place was genuinely one of the reasons
Fun fact #2: When I lived in Toronto, I once planned a trip to Pittsburgh with this meal as a primary motivator. Hard to believe? I swear it’s true.

And no, the restaurant did not pay me for this review. I’m writing this purely out of love—five years late since my first visit, admittedly. I should’ve done this sooner.

The presentation matches the taste, and the staff is consistently professional and welcoming. Comfort food, elevated and unforgettable.

A great local breakfast spot. Service was incredibly slow, they definitely could have used some additional staff for food running and bussing. A lot of demand in this place, but the food was incredible so many patrons waiting to be served! The southwest omelette was perfectly spicy, and the potato’s were a great blend of onions and different potato’s. A delicious and filling cheap breakfast spot! Will definitely visit again, hopefully with a less overwhelmed service staff!

We love their waffle and French toast options. The seasonal waffles are always worth trying if you come here often. We usually go to a different location but while in the city there weren’t many breakfast options open on the weekend so here we are. I love that they have mimosas and bloody Mary’s along with many other alcoholic and nonalcoholic options, great for a brunch! Our waiter was fabulous and the food was great as usual. I loved people watching from the large windows to the city street. It’s a decent sized place for a downtown breakfast joint but not huge so big parties be warned.

Excellent service. Our food came out very quickly, I don’t know why people are saying it takes a long time. It took ours about 10 minutes. I got the selection that had 4 different waffles, and all were great

Was me and my dads first time in Pittsburgh. Too see the Steelers playing the Bengal’s. We came up from a little town on the east coast of North Carolina while we were there we just so happened to run into some really good friends from the same town which was Ironic.!! So we decided, to eat there with them before we went to the Game we had made up our minds to walk inside of driving though we had many places to choose from we picked Waffles, INCaffeinated they were very busy our wait time was about 30 minutes so it wasn’t a problem but after getting seats we got drinks and then we had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for drinks so we finally got them and then ordered. Finally, after about an hour, We got our food. WHICH WAS AWESOME!! Which made it worth the wait.! Other than having to wait!! The waitresses and waiters were great.!!…..Other than they Probably could have been more on hand. Considering that there was a Game that day. JUST SAYING!! Oh yeah and btw we ended up Winning the game!!

Had the waffle frolic, 4 different flavors each on a quarter sized waffle. Gravy and strawberry chocolate were the better of the four, the banana peanut butter was a touch heavy and the bacon sour cream was okay.

Friend got the vegan waffles which I heard only good things about

Did not disappoint in regards to the food. I loved the taste of my waffles, I got the sampler of 4 waffles! So good and worth it. My husband got a mimosa that was strong and delicious! I got a latte that was great as well.
Only complaint was the service was slow but when I looked it appeared to only be 2 cooks in the kitchen.
