We visited the Waffle House for breakfast for the first time. Parking was free for customers, which was a plus, and the staff seemed friendly. However, the food and overall experience left a lot to be desired.
The buffet is priced at $21.99 for adults but looked pretty mediocre, so we opted to order from the menu instead. My husband got a skillet that wasn’t even hot and, unfortunately, looked and tasted quite sad. I had the eggs Benedict, which was decent, though the hollandaise sauce was bland and lacked flavor.
We ordered coffee that never arrived, and we had to ask for it to be removed from the bill—so be sure to check your receipt carefully. I had read about a mandatory gratuity charge in other reviews, but I didn’t notice one on ours (though I didn’t save the receipt to double-check). Our total for the two meals came to around $32 after tax and fees.
I enjoy trying new places, but this one didn’t live up to expectations. For us, it was a one-and-done visit.

Awesome breakfast spot with lunch available as well. A huge and scrumptious buffet available ,Darlene was a darling and very knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended a great choice of crabcake sandwiches that were absolutely wonderful. I have already came back and got my second sandwich!

Sucked. Less than mid. Worst place I’ve been to. Hotel food is better. Egg shells in my unseasoned eggs and things floating in my drink. For two buffets we paid $60 and lost our appetite halfway through one plate. DO NOT GO HERE you will leave disappointed.

So, it was me and my man’s first time there and the very last time there!!! It’s his birthday and I wanted to be nice and special, but then as soon as I saw the buffet it looked decent but the cook was not wearing gloves and touched the pancakes , then we got some of the sausages that was undercooked, the grits tasted sour, and the total for all of that was $49!!! Man……. On me I will never go there again the only staff he was nice but really needs help. It wasn’t worth that much.

Be prepared to pay a lot of money for breakfast. $70 for 3 adults & one child. $13.99 for adult buffet, $6.99 children, 2.50 cup of coffee, $3.50 chocolate milk. When you walk in, they don’t mention how much the buffet is going to be. Judging by how outdated the place is, I figured $9.99/11.99 max. The food was good and there’s plenty of options for non-vegans.

If you are looking for a good breakfast buffet, do not. I repeat, do not go to this establishment. We made the mistake of going. They do not have a sign stating how much the buffet is. We ordered 2 adult buffets, 2 cups of coffee and one glass of orange juice and got stuck with a 68. Dollar bill, they charged 2199 for a buffet where everything is dried out and overcooked. Except for the hash Browns, which were mushy, the food was horrible for the price that I paid. I could have gone out to dinner at any Oceanside restaurant. This was absolutely ridiculous.Don’t waste your time and definitely don’t waste your money

Popped in on Black Friday for a warm meal on a cold day and we are so glad we did. From the second we sat down we were warmly greeted- our food was hot and comforting (except for our daughter who was super excited to have French toast with ice cream on it!).
Equally as important was what we witnessed while we ate. Manny, the owner, and his staff truly treat the people who walk through the door like family. We witnessed someone walk in just looking for relief from the cold wind; Manny touched his shoulder, ushered him into a table, and told him to pick whatever he would like to fill his belly, checking on him quietly and frequently.
This is a place to patronize. Thank you, Manny and team, for feeding us all!

The food was fresh, seasoned well and generous portion. I had scrambled eggs, potatoes, and toast. Coffee was cold. My family had sausage, eggs, and potatoes. I don’t have any complaints on the food. We had a nice waitress. I think it was the owner policing the register that was unfortunate. It gives off negative vibes. I’m sure he had his reasons but I won’t go back. My suggestion, hire staff you can trust and make sure customers feel welcome. Go have a conversation with them versus guarding the door.

After several other options were closed, we went into this place. This was our first mistake. Do not go here, do not eat here. It’s gross. No one came to our table to give us any drinks or coffee. There was not enough silverware. The only option was a buffet. There was no food at the buffet. The food that was at the buffet was not good.
