Mmm.. Divine Waffles and Weck… And what the heck!!! Another good and up and coming restaurant in Dayton KY!! At the old Dayton chili parlor aka Christophield’s!! Pics were from when I first visited. Good place, definitely stacks up. Worth repeat visits and recommendations, hence my review 🙂

One of the worst dining experiences I have had; our first time here. I was excited to try the new food out and come by—it is close to home. Seemed nice when we walked in we had to sit at a table because their booths were full; no big deal, kids could watch tv. We sat down around 1015 am for breakfast and ordered our food shortly after; kids food came around 1035 and half of our order came at 1115 (almost an hour later). Three cooks kept walking past us; so they were staffed. There was no one sitting at the other tables; we were the only ones here. When the rest of our food came out… at 1130… the bacon was literally raw and the ham the wife had was pretty much “microwave warmed”. I ordered coffee, which was never refilled throughout our two hour stay. I have pictures attached of the empty restaurant and pictures of the food. I will give a restaurant praise when they do well; I’m not one who just post when bad things happy. I was really look forward to waffles and Weck; when really the only thing “w(r)ecked” was the food and service.

This is a delicious stuff yourself to the gills and want more place! The service is wonderful, not just your server will check on you, any employee that walks past you will. The prices are amazing especially for the good you get. Any combination for a waffle you can imagine you could probably find here. Now that the hours are going to be expanding I’ll be there more often. If you want comfort food, you’ve found your new comfy place.

Great simple menu… You must try the smashed balls and mozzarella sticks waffle. The chicken & waffle or the Monte Crispy waffle are awesome. Great Coney dogs for $1.25! I will return when back in Cincinnati. Great and friendly service!

You’ll be hard pressed to find a beef on weck outside of Buffalo but they nailed it here. Large portions and friendly people. Tried one of the waffles as well and it was light fluffy and hit the spot as an appetizer for us. Will definitely be going back

Wow!!! It’s not often that I write good reviews about places. This place has come a long way since they opened there doors. I was there on day one ( it was kind of a disaster). Though, they are getting better and better as the days go on. Today I stopped in for lunch with Wife and Sister in law. This restaurant prides themselves on there waffles and the signature “Weck” sandwich. Which both are great choices. Though, today I’m going to compliment them on there “Tacoma Build-A- Burger” which is a homemade burger build with anything you want. What do I mean by anything you want. It means if they have it in the restaurant and you want it on your burger. They will put it on on your burger. Of course some toppings might cost you extra (for example I added egg and goetta). They also give you the option of putting it on a bun or Texas toast. (Who doesn’t love Texas toast?). My wife makes it simple for the wait staff. She tells them she wants a “Tacoma burger, Burgin style.” In which case the waitress asked “with thousand island or tartar sauce?” Thousand island with Texas toast. Plus we got the Smash balls, which are deep fried loaded mash potatoes smothered in gravy. I’m mean it a triple threat to you taste buds. Who doesn’t love potatoes? Who doesn’t love things that are deep fried? And most importantly who doesn’t love thing smothered in gravy? If you can answer yes to loving all three of these things. Then you are going to love these Smash balls. Here is one of the best things about this restaurant. We ordered two Tacoma Build-A- Burger with fries, an order of the Smash Balls, a cup of coffee, and a coke. The total bill was $20.42. Wow!! Amazing homemade food at a great price.

Placed a to go order for a sandwich and fries and they said it would take 15 min. I wait. Walk in and they haven’t even started my order. What? The waitress said she forgot to put the order up because they were so busy. It was empty. A mistake is fine, but Don’t lie to me and make excuses.

My first visit. Had Beef and weck,it was absolutely amazing. The kimmelweck bun was perfect for the roast beef and au jus. And they have crinkle cut fries. My absolute favorite style of french fries. I will be back. Great job to the entire staff
