Waffle House is a classic American diner. If you want some good greesy food that satisfies that is the place to go! The waffle with butter and syrup is pretty perfect and can’t be beat. And they sell more stake than any other resteraunt on America. It may not be wagyu but it was quite well seasoned and tasted good. They are open late, that are open early in fact most don’t close at all!

The food:
The food wasn’t the worst, waffle was a bit burnt.
The sandwich I ordered, (Texas Bacon Chicken Melt) came on the wrong bun.
The coffee was fresh, no complaints.
Service:
The waitress (Kacey)was very nice and patient with my party of 4. She checked up on us a good amount of times, not too many not too little.
The cook on the other hand, he had an attitude towards the waitress. Very unprofessional when you know you’re working in an establishment where the customers can see your every move. After I was already served my food I noticed he used the same gloves to touch raw meat and cooked meat. Those same gloves he used to handle other plates given to other customers. This is totally unacceptable. After he finally changed the gloves he started using his phone with the new gloves and when the phone was put down he went straight back to touching food without swapping gloves. This cook needs to be fired. Unacceptable in any kitchen regardless of the business. This is how bacteria is spread and people get food poisonings or sickness.
Atmosphere:
The restaurant was clean for the most part. There was water leaking from the ceiling in multiple parts of the restaurant not sure why. The restaurant was rather chilly. Felt like maybe 65°. Bathrooms were clean, counters and tables were clean prior to us sitting down.

Found our new breakfast spot!! Our waitress was very attentive, the restaurant was super clean and over all experience was cozy and a great way to start the day. Food and coffee was delicious! ❤️

I currently travel for work, I tried Waffle House for the first time up in Virginia. Food was way too greasy all i tasted was old grease , i didn’t like the food one bit. Currently working out here in Ohio and decided to give it a second chance. NOPE! Same low quality food. The server was real nice and i could tell she was doing her best to attend every person there. She was the only server and it was 5am in the morning. Cook was mumbling all kinds of stuff because orders were just flying in, I could tell he was a little frustrated. Food is supposed to be cooked with love, that man was cursing at my sausage, egg and cheese bowl. SMH. Thats why my food didn’t have no flavor in it. If it wasn’t for a little salt and the tabasco hot sauce i would have definitely walked out without paying. Honestly, probably my last time ever stepping in to a Waffle House. For the person that commented to bring Waffle House up to Chicago, you my guy have 0 taste buds.

When we first walked into the door, we was told to sit any where we liked. It wasn’t busy at all. Immediately we were given silverware and asked if we knew what we wanted. It’s been along time since I’ve been so we needed a min to look over the menu. The server was very kind. So we gave her our drink order. I got a water and my husband got a coke. The water had a knat in it. Had to get a fresh one. And the silverware were dirty. We ordered our food. I’m not a breakfast person. So I asked if I could order off the lunch menu. It was 7am. Our waitress said yea no problem. I ordered the Texas bacon grilled cheese with chili. My husband got the eggs. Bacon, toast, and hashbrowns. The good lookes good. The bacon could of been a little more crispy. I liked the chili bit some of the meat looked a little raw. Which was a disappointment cuz the chili was so good. I wish the bowls were a bit bigger. I could of ate maybe 2 more bowls lol.

They also commit to staying open during disaster situations with many of them having emergency backup generators and a special grid-down menu. Waitress was friendly and on top of it until she gave us the check. Then she slacked off. But for the most part she was great. The other employees was will to help when I needed a take home container. Recommended waffles highly!!! If you have to wait a little for a set I do recommend it. And you can watch them make your food and others food as well.

I know what I’m getting when I walk into waffle house. An ok cup of coffee and a decent breakfast. What i don’t expect is a waitress who has no inclination of how to do her job and drips hot bacon grease on my granddaughter’s head. Then tries to hand another plate of greasy bacon directly over her a 2nd time. The girl was young and probably new but c’mon…a little common sense would be great. They went super skimpy on the hash brown toppings and the sausage patties were not really even edible. Worst experience ever at WH

Horrible service, Horrible staff, someone literally said to me we do in house orders over carryout first mind you I placed my order 30 mins. Its waffle house it takes ten mins to make a waffle and a piece of meat.
