You’re not gonna get a better Waffle House experience. One of the best waffle houses in the gulf coast easily. If you’re lucky enough to experience that 5pm light cascading through the bay window you’ll know what I mean when I say don’t pass this roadside gem up.

This was our choice for the family meal on Christmas. Down south this is usually on top 5 of most families because down here it’s a traditional dinner you go on scheduled dates with family and friends. Most people are first name based with all waitresses and cooks. This is one of my families go to WH and for a a good reason. The GM is a close friend to step father and handful of friends from school work here. They didn’t come weak with the Christmas cheer, started with great greetings from all staff on deck. Then our waitress Sam dazzled me with her award winning smile and took our orders letting us know of daily deals and other specials. Then in a timely manner placed our order and gathered if we would need extra condiments etc. served HOT and great presentation. 10/10 Waffle House of Cedar lake!

My last 2 visits to 2 different location have NOT met my expectations based on numerous previous experiences. I had the the has brown bowl. With beef and cheese and onions it was very tasty, Until my last 2-3 bites. There was a short dark hair and a longer hair about 2 inches long wet and attached to side of the bowl. I only saw them as I turned the bowl around to get the last few bites. ONE PIC WORTH A 1000 WORDS? Indeed.

Erica and Paul are obviously the heart and soul of this establishment. Erica is absolutely a wonderful waitress, and Paul cooked everything exactly how I asked him too. And I’m very picky. If you own this waffle house, these two need a raise!!!!! Good help is almost impossible to find right now.

A very pleasant atmosphere. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door and my server Sammy was a ray of sunshine and super nice and attentive. She ensured my order was correct and assisted with all my needs. The food was delicious as always and I look forward to coming back

Racism is still a thing. Came into this establishment and was not welcomed. Ask how I can be helped however every white customer that came in was greeted and celebrated when left. I checked my order and was missing the gravy. I requested it and was told once they are done washing a pot they would get to it and placed on the counter though my hand was out anticipating my missed item. I was not told to have a good day. During all this other people of African descent came in and was not greeted either. It is unfortunate.
