Ooook I’ve been here 3 times on Sunday morning specifically. The food is always great, behind the bar everyone looks lost. No one knows what’s going on or is in charge from what I can tell. We finally walked out today after waiting for 10 mins for anyone to acknowledge us, we sat at the bar and no one even asked if we wanted a water while we wait. No one has any ambition or moving with a purpose. Every Waffle House I’ve ever ate at wants you in, fed, and happy within 30mins. There’s 5 employee and 15people at tables. This has happened every time I’ve been to this location. We will not be returning, it took us 1hr 15mins our last trip up there. Shrugged it off like it could have been new hires learning. That is in fact not the case, management is to blame for this issue.

Alright. So we need to address the elephant in the room. Just saw the last negative comment and it made me upset. There are alot of great workers in this particular waffle house. I also love the new manager!!! I think his name is Jeremy. Absolutely love him. He’s still learning but he works his Butt off and you can tell the team loves him. Upper management if you see this then he needs a promotion. I think he was the manager of Dyersburg and I heard great things about him. I come to covington all the time and I hear from servers that its the new district manager that the team has concerns with. Hopefully its not a situation where Jeremy is pulling the weight but is getting no help. Like I said there’s alot of great people but some that may need to go, but there new manager has the potential to be great. Im surprised that no one else has said this but ima say it. Go Waffle House!!!

Came in around 2:30 pm nobody in the restaurant and no employees visible, sat down finally someone said welcome in and then disappeared, a little while later someone came out of the back and took my drink order and then disappeared awhile later someone else came and took my food order all this time finally get my food the eggs were not scrambled the were overhard and chopped up. Again nobody visible. This place has gone way down since it opened, also dirty tables around the restaurant, how does the manager allow the employees to stand in the back while the restaurant needs attention.

The store closed for maintenance, which is great! Yet when customers come to the door and see the sign all the employees start laughing at the customers trying to get in. The fact that the employees were staring at customers in their face and laughing, shows that the crew needs some educational classes.

If you’re looking for the absolute bottom of the barrel Waffle House experience, congratulations—you’ve found it in Covington, TN. Walked in to find almost every table covered in leftover food and trash, despite the fact that we were the only customers. Three employees just standing around like zombies, not one acknowledging us, as if paying customers were some sort of inconvenience. The place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all day. Honestly, it felt like we interrupted their hangout spot instead of walking into a restaurant. Disgusting, lazy, and embarrassing for the Waffle House name. Avoid this dump at all costs.

Go there to eat and all the tables are dirty. Stood for 5 minutes and no one even acknowledged we were there. Then another couple waljd in and the waitress cleans a table for them immediately. Walked out!!!

Visited this new location this morning and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast service was. I expected a long wait as it’s a brand new location and it’s a Sunday we waited around 10 min and the house was PACKED. I was surprised by how quickly we were seated. They restaurant was CLEAN despite being packed to the brim the staff was on top of cleaning. All of our food came fast and fresh and absolutely delicious. My pecan waffle was literally the best waffle I’ve had from a waffle house in YEARS! Both of my kids enjoyed every bite of their food! Super happy with our experience we will be back!
