Quick and affordable. I had a seat at the counter and was greeted in a couple of minutes. My waitress was awesome. She must have called me honey at least 10 times and I loved it. I ordered the ribeye steak and eggs for 17.00. It’s an off menu item, so you have to ask for it. Everything was cooked just right. The steak was surprisingly very tender and seasoned well. A lot of people like to hate on Waffle House. I have to tell you, i’ve had some great breakfasts and have met some of the nicest ,most genuine people in these establishments

This roadside waffle joint is about as classic American as it gets: a little rough around the edges, a little weird, but somehow still memorable. The place is definitely on the scruffy side inside, with dated decor and a slightly worn, truck-stop vibe that you either find charming or off-putting. The staff throw in plenty of “funny” or quirky comments, which can feel entertaining or awkward depending on your mood, but they do keep things moving and the food comes out hot. It’s very much a spot where truckers and locals drop in for a quick, heavy breakfast rather than a cute brunch destination. If you’re just passing through, craving waffles and diner food and don’t mind a bit of grime and character, it does the job—but it’s not the place for a cozy, Instagram-ready meal.

We were traveling home and stopped in to store 806 at approximately 4:30 am this morning. We are a senior couple. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was a young man sitting at a booth with no shirt on. He was either an off duty employee or a friend of the rest of the crew because everyone was gathered around his table. We seated ourselves and asked our server why there was someone in a food establishment with no shirt on. She didn’t have an answer. We asked for a manager and was told there is no overnight manager on weekends. There wasn’t one person working there over the age of 22. Nobody in a position of authority. Very disappointed. Really needs to have more oversight. We ended up not staying to eat. We do have a picture if anyone from waffle house corporate is interested.

This is a really good waffle house. I know it’s a roll of the dice when it comes to Waffle House. This one on Malabar is one of the best I’ve had and I travel a lot. It’s clean and the staff goes above and beyond they get you in and out quick. If you don’t want to wait get there before 8:30 for breakfast

The meal was good. The service, decent. They were very attentive and polite; but the tables after guests dined was tacky. Dishes were left on the tables for more than 35-40 minutes after patrons left- pretty unsightly.
