Coming from the West Coast, I was unfamiliar with Waffle House restaurants, but my grandson wanted to take me to one. He knew he could find Gluten-free options there, and he was sure I would find things on the menu I would enjoy. He was right!
I had the single waffle with pecan toppings. They actually stir the pecans into the batter instead of sprinkling them on top, which might work better. I got some pecan in nearly every bite. I think that’s a variation I’m going to add to my waffles at home. Yummy!
My grandson was very happy with his breakfast too.
Our server was so attentive. She kept our drinks topped off even before I realized they were ready for more.
The first Waffle House dinner opened in 1955 in Georgia, and it looks like the chain has stayed true to the original look.

Always love my Waffle House. Yearly tradition a group of guys heading to Tukey Rod Run in Daytona. We always stop at the Waffle House in Titusville off I95. Service was great and food was fast and delicious.

I love the Waffle House. I enjoy watching the staff cook and their camaraderie. The coffee is good and it is served in those mugs with the wide lip. IMO this makes for a great coffee drinking experience. Our waitress was great. Our breakfasts were great. I had the philly steak platter. Cheese in the eggs, jalapenos and onions in the meat and hash browns. This was suuuuuper tasty, and I ranked it as one of The Tastiest breakfasts Id ever had.

Best Waffle House ever! Well run, well managed, employees all worked together like a real team-food was perfect! Service could not have been better if I’d served it myself. If they would clean the place up a bit it would be a better place to visit. Sticky floors, dirty windows, greasy smell inside and out. Rest rooms are trashed not cleaned. It surprises me that know one that works there actually steps up and cleans! This rest firmly on management. His a tip, never use the same mop in the kitchen as you do in the front eating areas and rest rooms. Get some bleach and scrub the walls and floors by hand. Clean the booths and counter tops and undersides. Get Stanley steamer in there to clean the floors once a week. Step up a little!
