I took my wife today for breakfast and there were seats available but not cleaned. While we sat patiently waiting for the tables to be cleaned up there were 2 employees sitting at a booth visiting with someone. This is not good for business.

Exactly what you expect at a greasy spoon diner. Quick serve food at a decent price served by friendly folks. Fast. Efficient. Good. The cheesesteak melt was perfect, as was the hashbrowns and the chili. That sums it up. The donkey is satisfied.

On our way to Atlanta for a trade show, we had to make a few stops on the way. It’s always great to find a local waffle house. The staff knew a lot of the customers who were in for breakfast. This waffle house is right off the highway next to a gas station.
The staff was nice and the food was good! If you haven’t had a waffle house while traveling, now is the time.

Food was mostly good. The waffle wasn’t even a whole waffle because I guess they didn’t put enough batter in to make it??? The server had a very dry, aggravated attitude from the moment we walked in. There was only 1 other table in there when we got there. She acted like she was mad at the world. Didnt get refills either. Then the other 2 staff members started yelling across the store at each other. Just a bad experience.

Unprofessional, Dirty, and Disrespectful
Avoid this location at all costs. We walked in to an empty restaurant and instead of being greeted or seated, the staff just stared at us in silence until we finally had to ask to sit down. It only went downhill from there.
• The Service: The waitress was completely scattered. She took our food order before even asking for drinks. We ordered two hot teas, a water, and a soda. She brought one hot tea, one cold tea, and a water—despite it not being busy at all. To make it worse, she pre-sweetened the tea without asking, which is gross if you don’t want sugar.
• The Food: We specifically ordered our plates with NO grits. I literally overheard the waitress telling the cook the order was wrong, yet she brought it to the table anyway and expected us to just “eat around it.” When we sent it back, she brought the same plate back with grits smeared all over the bread. Completely inedible.
• Safety/Hygiene: The most alarming part was the cook. In the middle of our meal, he started aggressively spraying chemical cleaner all over the floor right next to us. The mist was flying everywhere and could have easily landed in our food.
The staff here clearly doesn’t care about basic hospitality or food safety. We felt unwelcome from the second we walked in and left hungry and frustrated. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

Awesome experience from the start! I frequent Waffle House due to traveling. I come to this one specifically annually, to hang out on our property since it is the local stop. and Its something we always look forward to for breakfast. Today’s visit was awesome. Mrs Laurie was helping us today and the service and food amazing! The door was opened for us and we were greeted with friendly smiles and well wishes.. Good morning, morning y’all and such..
I had to give good praise, because although most of my experiences growing up eating at waffle have been great.. I did go to one recently that was not on par. Service was meh, and food all greasy. I was good training and polite staff. Great food. Well done team! I’d say to everyone.. stop In Adel Waffle House for some good southern hospitality.

Went to this Waffle house today to pick up takeout for breakfast. Every single piece of food was ice cold. Meanwhile, they didn’t even give me my drink, I was already back on the road, so I’m heading up to Colorado I have animals in the car so I fed my animals instead of me eating because the food was absolutely disgustingly cold. One, my waffle was undercooked. Two, one of the staff members were extremely rude to my friend. Making a rude comment about them right to our face. I was so shocked i didnt say anything in the moment, but I’m definitely going to avoid this waffle house and definitely that server in the future

Not all Waffle House’s are equal. This one is run well, the staff is friendly. It’s essentially the way a Waffle House should be. None of the crazy antics you probably have seen online. The food is prepared fresh and I highly recommend the has browns (fully loaded with everything).
