I stopped by this Waffle House recently, and I have to say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at any location. The food came out hot, fast, and exactly how I ordered it, but what really stood out was the leadership on display.
Manager Derrick McKinney is the definition of professionalism and customer care. You can tell immediately that he takes pride in his store. He was attentive on the floor, helping his team, checking on customers, and keeping everything running smoothly during a busy rush. His energy sets the tone calm, organized, and genuinely friendly. Never seen a manager actually out, talking and making sure his customers are good.
It’s rare to see a manager who leads by example the way Derrick does. The staff clearly respects him, the restaurant stays clean, and the overall atmosphere feels welcoming because of the standard he sets.
I never really do reviews, but after so many bad experiences at other Waffle Houses, I had to give them their flowers.

Shawn was phenomenal. She has a great personality, is so friendly and sweet. I wish this was my local Waffle House, my kids and I would gladly make this location a regular solely because of Shawn.
My family is on a 19 hour road trip. It’s 6:30 am and she was a wonderful interaction after overnight driving.

It’s waffle house. It’s not the most waffle house waffle house. That waffle house only does window walk up to go orders at night. This is a calmer waffle house than most. Only 1 employees baby was there and he wasn’t even crying. Just making happy baby noises. No drunk customers or anything.

I’m not sure what to think about the reviews left by other customers. I am at the restaurant and it is a disaster. It’s pretty empty. We are waiting to be seated because every table has dirty dishes. And waiting for someone to clean. The floor is dirty. I just saw the server wipe the counter, throw trash away and then pick up food to serve I left.

This is one of the better Waffle House locations in the Savannah area. It’s an older building but they keep it pretty clean. Most importantly they have friendly servers (my favorite is Miss Madison on morning shift!) plus the food has always been fresh & hot.

Went early afternoon and our awesome waitress was also the chef. The other guy was there but interviewing someone for a job. Menu rarely ever changes. Go eat 24/7.

Server was nice, no name tag. Greeted once when walked in and services right away.
Food was made as ordered however the waffle and hash browns were a little over done (crispy but eatable).
I did not get a spoon for my coffee and had to ask for creamer (my experience is usually ordering a coffee you get up creamer) not a big deal though.
Checked on regularly, I do feel that the crispy waffle and hash browns should have been noticed and redone with the way it looks. I did not ask or I’m sure it would have been.

I am never noticed that Waffle House has a junior as well as senior menu selection and I took advantage of it last night and it was outstanding. A cheeseburger, bowl of chili and a soda, an easy quick meal.
