I traveled from Phoenix to visit family nearby and we came here on March 9th for lunch. The staff here was a hoot! Whoever manages this establishment should be proud of their staff and the atmosphere they create for patrons. So friendly and engaging. The food was excellent too! Our waitress Demetria was so welcoming and sweet. I felt care for during my time here.
The food is cheap, filling, and so good. The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating available.

I got up at about 2:30 am wanting some breakfast. So I go to this Waffle House because it’s been good before. So after I get my food and say grace, all of a sudden I hear some vulgar rap music over the speakers. I mean cursing ans everything. The young black guy comes out of the back bobbing his head. I instantly get a to go box and leave. I mean no one else seemed to have a problem with it but I believe that I was the only MINISTER in there. Smh. I don’t care for profanity and suggestive music.

All previous experiences here have been amazing food was amazing and so was the waiters but this last time was a serious let down. Grits were clumpy had to ask a waiter from another section for drink refills and condiments. Not to mention our waiter forgot to call our entire order so my food got done wayy before my boyfriend’s. Worst part was was that our server was I forgot what they call it, but had been working there like longest like they had the special hat and everything. It was a small, gray haired woman who didn’t pay any attention to us whatsoever the other lady I think Pam (don’t hold me to that I think that was her name), whose section was in the booths is the one that helped us the most. Will only be sitting in her section from now on and if she’s not working, we will not be eating there.

We ordered our usual meal today and one order of bacon was extremely burned, no chili on top of hash browns and both orders of scrambled eggs were scorched and didn’t have cheese. Waitress got us new eggs with cheese. We had water so no coffee or sodas. Took our ticket to register and asked for our usual Veteran’s discount. She said they didn’t do that. I told her we were just there about 8 weeks ago and got a discount. She said NO Waffle House restaurants do that and they stopped doing it weeks ago. So after paying almost $30, with no drinks is too much. Then add the issues with the food (they were not busy, only 2 other customers in the place). I looked up the Waffle House Veteran’s Discount and it says it isn’t standard policy but its up to each individual owner. So I’m guessing this particular owner isn’t interested in helping out the local Veterans any more. Nice to know because with this high price and no discount, that may be our last visit.

While in Anderson at Dr. Patel’s visit with Mama. SHE LIKES WAFFLE HOUSE so we decided to try a different one than usual. It was very good across the board. Good food, good service and atmosphere. We will definitely go a little out of our way to visit this one again.

The older lady is always rude. The last two times I’ve tried going there, they only have half the restaurant open for seating and they basically denied me because they were “cleaning the grill” which supposedly takes about an hour I guess (or just being lazy).
