I recently visited a Waffle House in Charles Town, West Virginia, and I was impressed by the incredible staff. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and they always had a smile on their face. The cooks were also amazing, and they worked together seamlessly to get the food out quickly and efficiently.

I’m rarely a fan of chain restaurants but I have to say that with Waffle House it consistently works and very well. This location is sort of new to our county and they’ve earned their stripes with the good food and service they are known for. I don’t know how they find the people who like their jobs, memorize intricate details of the many orders and never seem to get flapped. They are friendly and unflappable. I’m happy at the idea of going there and I know I’ll be entertained watching the synchronized staff, eating tasty food that’s fairly priced and always (somehow) served exactly as ordered.

I swear Waffle House always hits the spot. Places are always small, but adds to that mom and pop feel. I had the philly cheesesteak bowl with eggs and OH MY Gawd! So gooooood! I highly recommend it.

The server was friendly. The coffee was hot and fresh. The food was made quickly and was all correct. The restaurant was mostly clean other than the floor in the kitchen had some trash laying around. We would return.

Food was decent and fast, employees were kind. However, the same problem plagues this place as plagues so many other modern establishments: they all assume that everyone wants to listen a bunch of be damned hip hop/urban garbage rather than be able to have a conversation with the people at your table. Not only is the “music” selection pure garbage but it is way too damned loud. Really sick of club music on everywhere you go as if everyone is if that persuasion of moral decrepitude.
