The food looked good but it was cold, and they mixed up all of what we ordered. There were only two other tables with customers, yet somehow the staff messed everything up. Not very good. I don’t recommend it unless you want to see for yourself.

came in for to-go… floor had just been mopped and there was 1 chair available where people normally sit for to-go. the restaurant was empty basically, so my boyfriend and i had THOUGHT it would be okay to sit in a booth to wait for our food. we sit and told that we can’t take up a booth for other customers if we are doing togo… makes sense if there were chairs we could sit in to wait for our food.. we said there were not enough chairs available and the employee made the other customers waiting for their food in the togo area MOVE A CHAIR FOR US… as if she couldn’t?? anyway the place was empty and she’s been very very rude to us before … not a first time experience and pics for reference… 2pm on Wednesday May 17. Love Waffle House and the food but oh my god the service is absolutely horrible sometimes.

Edward is very nice and always very helpful. Savannah on the other hand is very very rude! watched her roll her eyes at customers! She shouldn’t have a job in customer service if she can’t be nice! She makes the whole experience bad!

Everything about my meal was cooked to perfection. My scrambled eggs with cheese were scrambled soft as requested. The hashbrowns and bacon were well done as I requested. Service was excellent too. An all around good experience.

Obviously, in the nature of a review, my experience is subjective, but, man, there is nothing like hitting up the Waffle House when everything else is closed and drunk people are already wandering. You walk in, it may be packed or it may be inexplicably empty. Regardless, the staff is stern but fair, depending on the capacity, but always make you feel at like it’s the Waffle *Home*. On par with the experience Chick-fil-A is known for, as long as I live in Blacksburg, my after midnight trips will probably keep being for an All-Star Special.

i tried calling to place an order over phone cuz i’ve done that before and they told me to come in and order cuz i couldn’t order through the phone. i drive by 5 minutes later and they tell me it’s a 30 minute wait until the grills are cleaned. would’ve been helpful to relay that information over the phone thanks 🙂 service is actual trash here 70% of the time. grumpy and rude for no reason. if service is your top priority that’s an actual joke (i bet they reply with the same copy paste comment). i’ve gone here so many times and there’s a solid 2 workers that give off decent vibes

Waffle house. Such comfort in blacksburg. Many really late nights or maybe even considered early mornings spent here during my undergrad at VT. There is no reason too dislike this place for me. It always hits right. Delicious, fast, and nice to eat with your friends or family here. There is the occasional fighting that you see or really strange people, but it’s waffle house. Never fails to give you food and open 24 7.
