If you’re craving a sweet treat, this is definitely the spot to hit up. We got the waffle with strawberries, nuts, whip cream and cookie butter and were so happy with our choice. The crunch and the sweetness of this waffle is everything!!! Highly recommend + the service was amazing & the lady making our waffle explained the process and what makes these different from other waffles. Come here!!

We traveled down from Southern Indiana /(Greater Louisville, KY) for a business trip with our management team, and while in Gatlinburg we visited Waffle de Lys several times—sometimes with as many as 19 people. Every visit was excellent.
The service from the Barista’s was excellent.
Our group tried a wide variety of items, including hot chocolates, coffees, Belgian waffles, and smoothies, and everything was outstanding. The hot chocolate was rich and smooth, the coffees were expertly crafted, and the Belgian waffles were exactly what we were craving—fresh, warm, and topped with real Belgian chocolate, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream. Everything tasted high-quality and thoughtfully made.
Waffle de Lys was the perfect place to stop, grab something special, and recharge between attractions, whether enjoying our treats briefly inside or taking them to go.
Waffle de Lys became our go-to stop to recharge and relax in between our activities.
We highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional service, outstanding drinks and desserts, and a genuinely uplifting experience. Psalm 34:8

We got the la crunchy, and it was so good.I cannot recommend this place enough . There was a lady there that was so sweet, super welcoming. I do wish they had more waffles available without banana, just because i’m mildly allergic.But we just put it on the side so big issues there . I will say there was another staff member there that was on her break who definitely had a bad attitude. I can understand we have bad days but I don’t think you should radiate that in a space especially when customers are there . I was a server for twelve years.So I definitely understand how she felt, but I also know that you show wait until customers are out to vent. I definitely won’t allow that to affect the rating because the other woman was tremendously amazing and the waffle was so good, definitely, willl be coming back .

We visited The Waffle by Lys located by 716, and it was an amazing experience. They had just opened for the day, and we were their first customers on the morning of December 31st.
The service was excellent from start to finish. The owner’s son took our order, which was a large one, and everything came out perfectly with no mistakes at all. The owner was also there, with her sons, and the entire team was absolutely fabulous.
The waffles were delicious, the smoothies were excellent, and the colada was outstanding. They also have the best espresso. Overall, everything was fantastic.
We highly recommend this place and wish them continued success.

We visited on a Wednesday evening in early November 2024. The pictures on the wall looked nice and the employee gave us samples to try and it was very good.
We ended up getting 2, the La Crunchy and L’ Exotic. Both were amazing and fresh. We had a wait a few mins for it to finish cooking. The La Crunchy started to leak through the paper tray after awhile so I wouldn’t wit too long to eat it. There isn’t a place to eat so you need to walk to a place. We ended up walking to the parking lot next to Anakeesta to sit and eat on a bench. We shared it between the 5 of us and it was plenty.
Not bad for the price and to try something a little different while we were just wandering through town. You could probably find some nice place to sit and eat in The Village as well.
Gave a low score for atmosphere as you’ll just standing on a busy crowded sidewalk. It wasn’t that I didn’t feel safe but always felt we were in the way.

This is truly a hidden gem of Gatlinburg and had the most delicious waffles! Was one of the top highlights of our whole trip! We were able to enjoy these delicious waffles for 2 days. The staff is friendly and very patient because I couldn’t decide what to order.
