This was a take-out order. I wasn’t able to taste it at the restaurant before I went home with it. I’m wondering why I don’t see any latest reviews maybe they were bad and somehow were removed but I hope this goes through.I would have sent back my food if I was eating in. How do you screw up rice? I think if the owner went in the kitchen and tasted the food and went over the menu with whoever is preparing it first they would change a few things. I was told it was a Mexican rice. This white rice with some kind of spicy tomato sauce mixed in it was under cooked. The black beans had no flavor. It tasted like they were directly out of a can. They weren’t even simmered or seasoned look at Even if you have a canned black beans you should cook and season them. In your comment you said you served 142 people that you did not get any complaints. I highly doubt that but being in a small town there’s not much choice of places to eat. In your comment you said you served 142 people that you did not get any complaints. This is probably giving me more of an idea to open up a good restaurant now since there’s really not too much competition and it’s well needed. I highly doubt that but being in a small town like Eastport there are not many options. I Ordered a side of guacamole and was told the chips are extra money. How do you serve guacamole without chips? chimichangas are supposed to be fried and somewhat crispy. This seemed like it was dipped in the oil and taken out right away before it was able to get somewhat fried and crispy. If somebody asks for a mild sauce, it should be edible they want mild what I received was so spicy I couldn’t eat anything. A waste of money. If you’re there eating in you can send it back when you take it home you’re not gonna drive 20 minutes to return it. $40.00 for one margarita and a chimichanga with a side of guacamole. Now I was at your restaurant three weeks ago and actually did have a good meal. Your chowder is good. Unfortunately, I had to sit there and listen to some guy that had the most terrible language and was so disturbing at the bar. Is it

Everyone working here was so friendly. Our waitress, Tammy was awesome. It was very busy, and she apologized that there would be a wait for food. Not a problem as we enjoyed our beers and the views, while we waited. The food was well worth the wait!! Clams and scallops were amazing!! Went back again for lunch another day, and ordered the lobster roll. I can honestly say it was the best lobster roll I’ve had…so fresh and so much lobster meat. We love this restaurant!!

I stayed in Eastport for the entire month of July. I loved, loved, loved the Waco diner. We would often go for lunch and have a drink overlooking the beautiful water.

Ok. I hate doing this to any restaurant but…do not be fooled by the good reviews of this place. I wish I could say better, but this food is just bad. And I mean bad bad. I mean…how do you take a reasonably OK piece of fish and overcook it to the point that it is so dry it out that the only thing giving it moisture is the rich completely inappropriate “crab” cream sauce, slathered on top of it? Avoid the coconut shrimp at all cost. Dried to the point of blackened. We were actually so grossed out by this meal that we took two bites, paid and left. I was so angry and sad. The view is great, the service was speedy but the food…just no.

Great diner in an awesome location. Lunch was good but the Bloody Mary was even better. Got the Carrot Cake to go. It was HUGE and the best I’ve ever had.

I mean the food doesn’t taste terrible, their clam chowder was certainly a step up from say canned chowder. However, 12.45 for a cup? Yikes! Just get a beer (Horn Run I recommend) and go. Staff, friendly
