We were seated outside because we had a large party, and the gravel was extremely annoying. Heels sinking, chairs sinking…if you wanted to pull your chair in, you had to stand up and physically move it.
For appetizers, we ordered the Hama Rayu and crispy pork ears. The Hama Rayu is usually a must for me at the Fort Worth location…we normally order 2-3 plates, but this one was disappointing. The fish was cut too thick and against the grain. The crispy pork ears were decent.
For our mains, my SO ordered the beef shio ramen and said it was just okay. I got the garlic ramen, which was overwhelmingly salty.
Service was very slow. Our appetizers came out before our drinks, and every time we needed something, we had to wave someone down. Overall, the experience fell short. I’ll stick to the Fort Worth location.
Normally don’t like ramen tastes from another restaurant but definitely like ramen here.
I got Beef skewers and lame chops. They were delicious and perfect cooked.
And my ramen was also indeed delicious.
Definitely will be back for more!
Good price for good food and good amount of portion.
Went here during their grand opening with free ramen. Obviously they were insanely packed and busy, wait times of 40 minutes.
Have to hand it, these staff members know how to run their ship. Things were chaotic, they were behind on some steps, but they kept everything moving. Props to this staff. I’ve seen other places flounder out with less people.
Can’t knock stars off for the long waits since it was insanely busy. Cannot tell if this is the type of establishment that will ALWAYS be that busy (possible) or if it was just the free ramen.
Upon receiving the ramen, it was delicious. I ordered the beef. The broth was amazing. The beef rib tasted smoked/wood fire grilled. Portion size was pretty typical I think. Tend to like spicy ramen, so ordered the spicy rayu sauce. It was a small portion. Perhaps too small because it wasn’t really that spicy. And I can sometimes be sensitive to spiciness.
They have a few unique cocktails. Their mule is the proper balance of ginger soda. Their lichi li was delicious, if abeit heavy on the rose.
Prices also seemed pretty typical for roman places.
Parking will be hit or miss, since it’s a community parking lot with the rest of the bars / restaurants there.
I’m not a huge ramen person, but Will definitely consider coming back.
We dropped in to have an afternoon cocktail and check out the new local venue. Walked in from back deck entrance and we grabbed two open seats at the bar. Mistake. Apparently bar seating requires you to wait through the hostess line for table seating.
Not a big deal except for how the hostess addressed it. We were seated at the bar about ready to order drinks, She comes over and doesn’t nicely indicate that contrary to typical bar custom that seats at the bar aren’t open seating she instead rudely interrogates us “where did you come from?” There are much nicer ways you could have managed that.
Consider making your bar seating open. No one wants to stand behind the lines of families waiting for table seats just to drink at the bar. (There were open tables too so that fact that bar seating wasn’t open is ridiculous)
If you stick with closed bar seating, then perhaps post a sign on the patio door “pls see hostess for all seating; bar and dining” as you will find in this location many people coming from the parking lots are going to enter through the patio not walk up to 377 entrance.
We won’t be back anytime soon.
