Placed an online order at 1:09 PM for 1 bowl and an order of dumplings. I have been sitting in the store since 1:18 PM, though I had to walk around to the front because the back door leading to the parking lot was locked. App said the order would be ready by 1:21 PM.
It is now 1:45 PM and I still have no food. Nothing has been communicated to me, not employee has explained the delay, made any mention, or offered any sort of explanation or apology.
I understand that things can get backed up, but this sort of delay and lack of acknowledgement is disrespectful of my time and the people who have been waiting with me.
I have watched people come in after me order, eat, and leave. I was originally handed an order that wasn’t even mine even after I announced who I was and that I was there for a lunch break. I have wasted my entire lunch break waiting for an order that was supposed to be ready 35 minutes ago.
I left at 1:48 PM. Would not give a refund, credit, anything. No apology, just a “thank you” for being patient. They ran out of chicken, she said. During lunch.
First impression was good. It’s new so everything was clean. Parking lot was clean although a little confusing as you turn off the street (there’s a ton of parking in the rear.)
We ordered our meals and waited for them to be prepared. My wife ordered the chicken vegetable bowl and I ordered the Waba rice bowl. They got my order wrong – they gave me a Waba vegetable instead. No big deal, it came with veggies.
One thing I wasn’t a fan of was the sauce they drizzle on the food. It’s a soy sauce glaze and I’m not a big soy sauce fan – they should ask if you want it on the food or as a side.
My wife noticed that the only utensils they had were plastic forks but that the veggies eere big enough where she would have like a fork to cut them up. We both wondered what the kid’s meals would be like if the veggies were too big.
The food itself was really fresh, the carrots, broccoli and cabbage crunchy. Both the chicken and steak were lean.
Overall it was a good experience and we’ll try it again.
We’re often quick to complain when something goes wrong in places like this, but we rarely take the time to acknowledge the people who show up with great energy, work hard, and deliver excellent customer service. Maria did just that, and I wanted to make sure she’s recognized for it. Thank you, Maria!
