I visited for lunch and really enjoyed the experience. While having a happy hour beer, I ordered the steak and pasta. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the sauce had a familiar, comforting flavor that reminded me of Japanese cuisine. I truly appreciated being able to enjoy this kind of taste in the U.S.

The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it a very pleasant place to spend time. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

A unique, traditional Japanese steakhouse. We tried the omakase wagyu steak and miso yaki butterfish with sashimi, kabocha soup, jidori chicken, creme brulee and crepe cake. Every bite was to die for and magical. Best wagyu steak and butterfish I’ve had. Madai kobujime was delicious.
The service was amazing, warm and friendly.
The chef visited us.
The ambience is classy, yet cozy.
Looking forward to bringing the family in.

Went a second time, another lovely experience.
Couldn’t resist getting the miso black cod again. It didn’t disappoint. The best.
Wagyu new york steak delicious, outstanding.
Tempura was top grade.
Zucchini soup, ebi fry, delicious, bread was hard to stop eating. The miso cheese in the first course is amazing.
Last but not least, the green tea creme brulee was the best.
Appreciated the waiter describing the menu in both English and Japanese for my obaachan 🙂

Really enjoyed the fantastic service, feel to this place and the way the courses are served. The staff was so kind and on point, I was so happy with everything and just really had a nice meal thanks to her, I could go on and on but I should get to the food.
I liked everything I ordered, kinda wish I went with a different cut of steak but that’s on me. I had a lot of unexpected pleasant surprises because I didn’t research the place beforehand. 5 stars from me and I hope to return soon to try another dish. Last note the coffee was really good, overlooked probably, but I liked it!

Been here on 2 occasions and I have to say I’m always blown away by the quality of the food. Especially for this price point, the quality by far exceeds the costs. The food is always excellent here.

This time I came for my birthday dinner. We ordered the tempura, uni & ikura pasta, yuzu pepper steak and the chicken wings. The best dish was definitely the tempura as the batter was perfectly light and well seasoned. The steak was on the tougher side but still had great yuzu taste. Definitely next time I’ll have to do the omakase again as that was my favorite last time.

The service was fast and very attentive. The waitress was even nice enough to prepare a birthday dessert on a last minute notice.

The ambiance feels like a chill Japanese Living room. It’s a great place to have an intimate dinner with friends or family or even a date!

Definitely will be coming here again

This restaurant is one the most peaceful and very homey places that I’ve been too. All of the servers are very generous and nice, the chef makes all of the food in a good quantity and leaves me full. This place in my opinion is very underrated

A steakhouse with a distinctively Japanese twist. The “Chef’s Omakase Dinner” options are generous 5-course prix-fixe meals. The a la carte options are also quite good.

For a party of four, we ordered three omakase sets and a handful of other menu items, and went family-style on everything. The mix of items we ordered was coursed and paced out nicely. The roasted duck appetizer, ribeye steak entrée, and lobster uni tomato cream pasta were standouts from our evening.

Service was attentive, friendly, and adaptive to our probably-unorthodox ordering approach.

Located up Palos Verdes somewhat, the dinner rush seems less crazy here than at other restaurants down the hill. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxed yet upscale meal.

Fantastic restaurant! The food was incredible and the service was about the best I’ve had! I highly recommend the tempura shrimp and leek and potato soup as starters. The soup was creamy and flavorful. The tempura was light and crispy. Our server was extremely attentive and was always ready to check on us! The restaurant had great music and good vibes. We’ll definitely be back!

I organized a dinner with my daughter.
We wanted to try something new and ended up at WA Dining Suya.

The restaurant delivered a great meal and great service. My daughter and I will definitely come back.

The Kakuni was my favorite — very homey. Honestly, that appetizer with rice could’ve been my whole meal.

Wonderful hidden gem in South Torrance. Japanese steakhouse with many delicious offerings in a quiet intimate setting. They don’t have their hard liquor license, but they do offer cocktails made with non-hard liquors that replicate the real thing and are quite tasty. Was last week on a Wednesday evening and parking was plentiful, though I could see the small strip mall parking lot filling up on weekend evenings. Highly recommended.

Great Japanese restaurant with impeccable service. We ordered from the course menu of angus beef. The meat was perfect medium rare, tender and juicy, and the sauce with a Japanese touch was excellent to my taste. I highly recommend this place.
