Reviews
Gotta say, the bullfrog and fish were super fresh, and the broth was spot-on authentic. Other stuff like beef, lamb, and pork intestines was solid too. Drinks are all bottled, including zero-sugar electrolyte water, and the fruit was fresh as well.
We went around 1:30 PM, and it wasn’t crowded, so food came out pretty fast. The only downside—staff was kinda stingy with the bullfrog. They only let us order 2 portions and said they were out after that. Honestly, if you’re doing a buffet, don’t be too tight—it kind of kills the vibe and makes you hesitant to order.
Overall though, the food was really good, and I’d definitely come back.
While waiting in line, I scrolled through some negative reviews — most people were just complaining about long wait times or certain dishes running out. As long as the flavor’s good, who cares ♀️
Here’s my real queue-time experience
1st visit — arrived 4:20 PM, started eating right at 5 PM
2nd visit — arrived 7:10 PM, seated around 8 PM
Highlights:
1️⃣ Unlimited drinks — even mung bean soup and chocolate oat milk! (all brand-name, not homemade ❤️)
2️⃣ Unlimited fruit — surprisingly sweet and fresh, even had rambutans and mangoes!
3️⃣ Unlimited frog meat (I literally refilled 8 times)
4️⃣ Crunchy beef tripe, all-you-can-eat
5️⃣ Amazing cold appetizers — way better than many other restaurants
The marinated beef and pig tongue were shockingly good, I couldn’t stop eating! Sweet-and-sour ribs were a dream for anyone with a sweet tooth. Century egg and crispy chicken cartilage? Chef’s kiss.
The frog and fish were incredibly fresh — bouncy frog meat, tender fish, and that spicy broth aroma hits just right. If you love frog hotpot, don’t even hesitate.
️ Minor downsides:
◦ No DIY sauce bar — only a fixed Sichuan-style mix (pickles + fried soybeans + sauce + scallion + cilantro).
◦ Service was a bit slow with tissue refills and dish changes, but honestly, every staff member was so nice and patient even though they were super busy.
️ Overall:
Fresh ingredients | Authentic Sichuan broth | Delicious cold dishes | Friendly service | Slightly slow serving speed
With their current discounts, this is hands-down one of the must-try hotpots in LA. Already planning two more visits next week
When to go: line up early — peak hours are always packed
