W Thai Chef: Authentic Thai Culinary Experience in Kaysville
Reviews
W Thai Chef knocked it out of the park! The blend of sweet coconut , Thai basil , and curry chile spice ️ was absolutely PERFECT! Yum!
We had a group of 23 people, and they totally accommodated every single one of us, in a restaurant that normally seats 20.
Waitress, manager, and two chefs were amazing, kind, and accommodating. Everyone seemed quite happy with the group and the service.
Will definitely go back. Thank you!
I was disappointed in the rolls. They had one slice of avocado and a slice of cucumber with some shredded carrots in each roll and I would have liked a few more slices of avocado. The sweet chili sauce was tasty. I actually took off the rice wrap and ate it as a lettuce wrap.
The pineapple rice was good and I liked the flavor. I think I only had like 5 slices of chicken in it, that was disappointing as well because I ordered it as if that was my meal. So maybe do extra meat?
The food was good and I’d try this place again.
Service was very prompt, courteous, and I prefer a very simple menu. We tried the tofu, avocado roll, and massamun beef. All were excellent, and I would happily order the same again.
Parking is a cinch, especially in the evening when neighboring shops are closed.
Very clean and cute seating area, and two patio tables also.
The food? Absolutely amazing. The Pad Thai slaps. The Drunken Noodles? So good they almost made me forget how confused I was trying to pick up my order. Speaking of which, the pickup system is like a game show: “Will your food come out in 10 minutes or 40? Who knows! Spin the wheel of fate!”
But here’s the thing—W Thai Chef is like that weird uncle who shows up to family gatherings late but always brings the best dish. It’s unpredictable, slightly chaotic, but totally worth it. Just bring your patience, and maybe a snack, in case your food gets lost in the void for a while.
Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I complain while doing it? Also yes.
*I love that the ethnic menu has pictures, so you can actually get an idea for what to order!
The restaurant was small, and could probably only seat 20 people, so it’s more of a lunch spot unless you want to wait awhile. The first time I came it was a packed Saturday night and someone there said they had been waiting am hour for their food. But on a Monday at 5pm it was much better. It felt clean and was decorated really tastefully.
The customer service was absolutely top notch. Our waitress said people call her grandma and she couldn’t have been more welcoming and hospitable- with prompt drink refills, extra rice, a warm smile, and a happy birthday treat, I can’t wait to come back! We will be frequent customers!
**If you liked my review or found it to be helpful, give it a thumbs thanks!
We ordered the edamame which was solid but cold, the Golden Bags which were delicious and crispy, and the Tom Kha Chicken (soup). Not exaggerating, it was the best Tom Kha I’ve ever had! Next time will get two of them as my entrée!
The pineapple and massaman curries were solid as well, but nothing special. The chicken pad Thai was good, but the sauce used was overly sweet. The pineapple fried rice was good!
We love supporting local so we will be back!
Walking in leads you to believe you may be at a take-out only Mexican joint, but don’t worry, the scent of fresh-cooked, lovingly prepared pad thai grabs you by the nostrils and sits you politely at a table. The service was great, food came fast, and flavors were heavenly. As long as your party is smaller than eight, there’ll be plenty of room for you to rediscover your long-lost millionaire child.
