V & V Scratch Kitchen is the perfect blend of casual and upscale dining. The food is elevated to perfection. Delicious, hearty yet not pretentious. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable and not overbearing. The dining area is comfortable and spacious. You come here for an amazing, maitre de level restaurant food, but get to be comfy and relaxed. We enjoyed the crab cake sandwich, the chicken sandwich special, waffle fries and homemade chips. Your ranch is *chefs kiss*. Dessert was a classic chocolate chip cookie with an out of this world taste, and amazing pumpkin snicker doodle cannoli. In the past we’ve had the roll and brussel sprouts.
There was a nice blend of ages, families with children, and single diners eating alone. The service is spot on.
If you haven’t taken the time to come here, don’t delay.

Casual dining with a gormet flare. They have daily specials & promote organic, non GMO products & fresh fish daily. There was an active smoker for meats outside the restaurant. We had swordfish tacos & a special salad. The homemade cookies are definitely a must. There is a full menu including pizza & sandwiches & portions are large. We are looking forward to our next visit. It has a nice casual vibe where you order at the counter before you sit down. The servers & staff are friendly as well. This was our first visit & won’t be our last.

What a nice gem in finleyville. This staff knows how to cook and put good flavors together. Loved the beet salad, Gouda fondu, and pork belly. Short rib was perfect, risotto was great. Salmon was cooked perfect. Steak was perfect. Mashed potato’s and green beans were great as well. Reflecting back on this place, they put a lot of care into each element and executed very well. If you know quality like myself, you will certainly appreciate this place as it is few and far between… especially nowadays. BYOB, order at counter- but still serviced by waitress/ waiter. Cozy place.

The food and service was spectacular. We had the wings and brussel sprouts for an appetizer, they were very good. For our dinner we had the lobster roll and salmon salad, both were great.

Great selection with changing specials. Smoked meats and brick oven pizzas.
Had the smoked pastrami Reuben. A step above a really good Reuben. At first it was seemingly ordinary fare then the subtle note of smoke hits the pallet. My wife had pulled pork tacos. The lunch order put forth FOUR had shell tacos. We also ordered a pizza for later that night at home. If this restaurant were closer to home we’d eat there weekly!
I ratec service at 4 stars only because the order process is counter service. Not bad just not a 5.
Atmosphere was simple but perfectly fine.
This place is sensational and has something for everyone.

Took a drive to check out a new place, so happy we did! I love the vision of this restaurant, and they execute it perfectly(all you need to know if you don’t want to read my book). Greeted by Frank who was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also extremely friendly and patient while having an almost contagious energy. I prefer a full service restaurant, it’s all about the experience for me. But this place just WORKS! Water was already at our table before we sat down, glasses were provided for our BYOB promptly after. Food was timed appropriately, I almost wish it took more time so I could continue to enjoy my first experience here at V&V. Our meals were spectacular, fresh and cooked perfectly. smoked wings are a challenge, these were still juicy with all the flavor you are looking for(not pictured due to being immediately devoured). My lobster was slightly tough, but could have been due to the size of the Crustacean not how it was prepared. Toasted on 5 sides!?!? AMAZING! (Will opt for the crab cake next time, I heard great things)The veggies were bright and crisp, both steaks cooked to our liking and full of flavor. Creme brulee had the appropriate amount of burnt sugar (no one ever makes it thick enough, these people get it) servers checked on us multiple times, Frank even came around to make sure all was well, bringing me a side of homemade ranch for my crispy but fluffy waffle fries. My only complaint was they didn’t clear our empty beer cans from the table. We will be back and hopefully often.

We stopped by after hearing something about these guys on tv. The Ruben was the best I have ever had. The meat was very tender and tasty. The rye was amazing. I am not a fan of waffle fries, which is what they serve. But that’s just a personal preference. My wife had the cheesesteak and couldn’t stop bragging on the bread , which appeared homemade. Her beef was tender and done perfectly. She had the homemade chips which were perfect. As good as everything was, the pickles may have been the star of the show. I have not had a pickle this good in years. They are homemade, like most of their items, and were absolutely perfect. If you like fermented pickles (like Clausen) you’ll love these. They were so good we were thrilled to find they sell the pickles to go by the quart. So a quart went home with us. On the way out we took a cheesecake to go and it was no surprise how awesome it was. All of the people were helpful and friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Prices were fair and worth it. Check it out you won’t be disappointed!!!

This place had wonderful food, I ordered the lobster roll which was delicious. It had no fillers or mayo or any of that nasty stuff I get in other places lobster rolls. The chef really knows his craft here I enjoyed every bite.

We have been to 3 chef’s table dinners at V&V and love the culinary experience with a surprise pre fixe menu that is always well coordinated and interesting. You can bring your own wine so we bring a variety to match the different courses.
