My partner and I had a very great time at Vulcan. The price is well worth it for the quality and quantity of the food. The owners are extremely friendly and care about your experience there. The spicy sauce on the chicken katsu was very good and the short rib was sweet and prepared very well. We loved everything about this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

Drove out of our way to stop here for lunch due to the pictures and positive reviews. It did not disappoint! The employee was incredibly helpful with explaining the meals and helping us with recommendations. The food was fantastic (better than any other Hawaiian bbq we’ve had before). My 7 year old daughter was obsessed with the short ribs. Everything had so much flavor and was so fresh! Only thing I’m upset about is not having this closer to Des Moines!

this was our first time coming here for food. we ordered ours to go, and we just finished eating. yall, this place is so worth it. this is literally the best food ive ever eaten. ive never had macaroni salad that good before, and the coconut shrimp was the absolute best ive ever had. thank u guys so much for such an amazingly delicious meal. we will definitely be coming back!!

Food was delicious – I got the Kalbi short ribs. A couple of Spam options, which is to be expected for a Hawaiian restaurant. Came here with friends who have kids, the children enjoyed the food – the only downside is that with littles it ends up sounding very echo-y.

This place is fantastic! Come here when you want real food, that is homemade with care and pride. Beef Bulgogi and Coconut Shimp were both delicious. The gyoza was fresh and had lots of filling. Portions are quite generous. ABSOLUTELY be back!! Thank you Vulcan!!

Friendly owners and delicious food with a great variety that Mason City has not had before this. I got the shrimp combo and it was delicious. The beef bulgogi looks great and so do all the appetizers .

Found this place on a Google search while visiting Mason City. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up in quality food and service. The owner (and cook) was super. He is originally from Albania, very young and wants to make sure customers have a great experience. I had the fish katsu which was super flavorful. Loved the green salad and the cabbage served with the dish. Definitely want to come back if I am in the area again.

Spicy Salmon Poke bowl – Rice, Avocado, Cucumber, Carrots, Corn and Spicy Tuna. Very delicious and Fresh. If you like Sushi you will love this meal! Would defiantly order again.
