The Vue — A Delicious Hidden Gem with Breathtaking Lake Dillon Views

Let me start with this: don’t let the location fool you. Yes, The Vue is tucked inside a hotel — but once you make your way up to the 4th floor, you’re greeted with stunning panoramic views of Lake Dillon, a beautifully designed dining space, and some truly delicious food and drinks.

To find it: head into the hotel lobby, go left past the front desk, take the elevator to the 4th floor, then go right past a small lounge area. Keep going and you’ll find this elegant, high-end spot that totally blew me away.

You can sit in the chic, thoughtfully decorated interior or opt for the outdoor patio — which comes with heaters so you can enjoy that fresh Colorado air without freezing. Either way, the ambience is absolutely breathtaking — the kind of setting that makes you just pause and soak it all in.

Now for the food (because wow):
I ordered the smash burger with regular fries, plus the cheese curds and buffalo wings (sauce on the side) as appetizers. Everything was cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and honestly, if I went back tomorrow I’d order the exact same meal again. And of course, I had to try a cocktail — their Mexican Mule was made perfectly and hit all the right notes.

They also offer a happy hour from 3pm to 5pm, and occasionally close for private events, so it’s worth checking their website and making a reservation ahead of time.

Whether you’re local or visiting, The Vue is a must-try spot for amazing food, great cocktails, and views that will leave you speechless. Can’t wait to go back!

Loved this place! Went to grab a couple of drinks and appetizers for happy hour with some friends and it was delicious! The espresso martini and the coconut shrimps where our favorites. Great atmosphere, amazing views from the terrace, and excellent service from all the staff specially from our server Yamile. We’ll be back!

Stopped by for Saturday happy hour and had a great time. This place has great views and tasty apps/drinks. Fairly pricey but that was expected.
We ordered the brussels sprouts, siracha teriyaki wings, and coconut shrimp. The brussels stood out as my fav, followed by the wings.
For drinks, my girlfriend enjoyed the pear gimlet. I tried the guava marg (without jalapeno) and it was decent – mostly tasted the tequila. I preferred the maple sidecar whiskey/orange drink.

Surprisingly amazing here. When you think hotel restaurant, this is certainly not it. Let’s start with the view. This place has an incredible view and an outdoor patio. Most places that have a view like this tend to serve bad food. Let’s not move onto to the service. The staff was extremely friendly. So the food is gonna be bad, right? The food was amazing. We had the mahi tacos and they were delicious. My kids had a burger and they said it was one of the best burgers they’ve had. They have a cool bar and live music. Plenty of places to sit and the menu is reasonably priced and extensive. Definitely a place to come and see.

Follow-up after three days: two of our group who ordered short ribs had diarrhea for two days after dinner. This means each dish we had was problematic except the house salad. This is terrible and totally unacceptable!

We had Christmas Eve dinner here as a group of five, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. Two people in our party developed stomachaches and diarrhea shortly after the meal. We are concerned it may be related to food quality.

Food issues:
• Prime rib arrived very undercooked and almost entirely pink
• Brussels sprouts were badly overcooked and blackened
• Steak salad had a strong, unpleasant odor as soon as it reached the table

Service notes:
• Our server replaced the prime rib
• Charges for the steak salad and Brussels sprouts were removed
• The hostess was very professional and offered free dessert (we declined because we’d lost our appetite)

Appreciate the attempts to correct things, but overall this was one of our worst dining experiences and I hope management seriously reviews food quality control.

We came in for a nice dinner as a family while on our vacation to Silverthorne. Our server Gisel was absolutely amazing. She was wonderful, attentive and provided excellent service. The food and wine were very delicious as well. Definitely recommend and would love to come back if given the chance to.

I made a reservation for Valentine’s Day with the wife. The host never greeted us or smiled but sat us immediately. Our waitress started off well but once my wife said she was from Honduras the waitress from Argentina ignored my wife the rest of the stay. I ordered the “special” sea bass and was told it was large and we could share but it was a small filet with no side dishes or condiments. So I asked to order another dish for me and instead of putting the ticket in as priority I had to wait 18mins for my food so my wife ate alone. When I inquired about my dish the waitress developed an attitude and said they were busy but still had open tables. I brought this up to the manager and he made an attempt to compensate for the miscommunication. I still tipped the waitress 20$ despite not deserving anything for looking down on my wife. This place excepts you to make a reservation and spend 100 to 150$ for dinner but terrible service. The waitress were making excuses with every table that 2 waitress couldn’t handle 8 tables. Don’t waste your time, the views are worth the poor service.

Incredible Experience at Vue Rooftop!
Vue Rooftop in Dillon was absolutely amazing! The views of the mountains and lake are breathtaking — truly one of the best spots in town to enjoy a meal or drinks while taking in the scenery. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and the staff was so friendly and attentive.

Our food and cocktails were delicious, beautifully presented, and came out quickly. We especially loved how relaxed yet upscale the vibe felt — perfect for date night, a celebration, or just catching up with friends.

We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Dillon! Highly recommend Vue Rooftop for anyone wanting great food, great service, and unbeatable views

What did we eat? My husband got a seasonal craft beer, I got a cherry, almond martini. Both fantastic!! We both got the ribeye steak served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. DELICIOUS!

I got the chicken sandwich and the cheese curds appetizer. The vibe and quality of this place did not hold up to what I was expecting. It seemed like there were too many tables in the inside part of the restaurant with Waiters constantly shimming by or asking people to move or scoot in. While the chicken sandwich and curds were good, the fries came out cold, and the appetizer (cheese curds) came out in 5 minutes after I got my entree. The thing that threw me off the most was apparently the first Monday night every week they have the local radio station come in and DJ and do games and trivia. Which when you’re spending 50 plus dollars a person on a meal having music blared at you and somebody talking the whole time it’s not what I was expecting or wanted. I looked on their website and it didn’t say anything about this.

This place is on the top floor of a hotel, just take the lobby to the 4th floor and follow the signs. It overlooks Lake Dillion Reservoir. It is small, so reservations after 5pm are suggested. The view is great and the food was too. It is somewhat higher priced than some of the other restaurants in the area, but give it a chance anyway. Get out and enjoy life! Safe travels
