We found VUE NORTH restaurant while visiting Two Harbors town in Minnesota. The restaurant is located in the Superior Shores Resort on the second floor, non resort guests are welcome. Beautiful lodge style building and restaurant. The menu offerings are upscale American cuisine, also found vegan options. We enjoyed a great tasting dinner served by a friendly staff. Entrees are $24 – $55.

This a really nice contemporary restaurant with amazing views of the Lake Superior. It has an upscale feeling and we got a table for 2 that was lakeside and felt romantic. The server was polite and knowledgeable. We got the half Cesar salad, lobster hassleback the ribeye with a blue cheese crust that is now the bar I will be measuring all others. They had a good wine selection as well.

Our dinner at VUE North was amazing! We ordered the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer and they were sweet with a little spice. My husband ordered the prime rib which was cooked perfectly. I had the salmon and my sister enjoyed her shrimp pasta dish. The salted caramel cheesecake hit the spot! We enjoyed their cocktails and atmosphere into the evening. The staff were friendly and the chef herself checked in on our table. I highly recommend!

Was super excited to try a new place in the area. Service and view were great, food was a huge disappointment. Ordered some appetizers and they were alright. Then we ordered a medium rare ribeye, and a medium rare filet mignon. Both were served well done. They looked like pork chops. I’ve never sent food back before, but this was the one time I felt it was necessary. They brought us two new steaks, which are pictured below. Both were very cold and firm to the touch. Likely still frozen. We will not be back.

What a disappointment. I would sooner go to Blackwood’s in Two Harbors before coming back here.

Context: Mid November. This place opened at 5p, after the sun had long gone down (Otherwise the view would be fantastic).

The atmosphere in this place is a far cry from the way they speak of it on their website. The lighting was so poor. For the price of items on the menu, I would expect a much more highly refined atmosphere, and not a feeling of being in a dining hall full of shadows. We were seated by a window which would have been great if it wasn’t so dark outside. There were no candles or any light on the tables, and no decorative lighting anywhere else except for a gimmicky line of flames along a far wall. I ordered far less because of the above, and we were gone within an hour. The pasta was fine, the lingonberry salad was excellent. I was put off by the fact that I could not see my food. The white antler chandeliers provided a harsh ambient lighting that while bright, cast shadows across our table, and the food was served in bowls which heightened my inability to see it. There is also no sound suppression in this place, so of it were to get busy, it would echo even more than with the 10 people that were there for our experience.

It was suggested to me to try the pepperoni pizza and lingonberry salad. The pizzas dough tasted like it came from the freezer. And, the salad had wilted lettuce leaves and the dressing was too sweet. For our entrees we had the ribeye and the beef short rib. The ribeye was tough and hard to eat. The short rib had a lot of fat and wasn’t palatable. For dessert we had the wild blueberry bread pudding which was amazing! The salted caramel cheesecake was not as good but it was better than the rest of our meal. The service and the atmosphere were great and unfortunately the food did not match that.

Fabian was very helpful. He asked us about food allergies right away, and the menu was designed with tree nuts allergies in mind. Fabian was also very very helpful making sure beverages were to our taste. (I am excessively picky: usually I simply give away my drinks and am happy trying them once, but he was able to get a small correction in first try. Last time I experienced that was a private event at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Tldr worth the price.)

I really liked the quiet music, it was the type of relaxing experience I want from a resort.

We recently celebrated our anniversary at VUE North in Two Harbors, MN, and were absolutely blown away by the exceptional experience! We’ve visited this spot in the past when it was Silver Creek Chophouse, and while the name, menu, and concept have changed, the quality of the food and service remains just as incredible—but now at a more affordable price.

Our anniversary dinner was made extra special by our server, Diana, who greeted us with a warm smile and even remembered us from previous visits! She recommended a fantastic wine, Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, which paired perfectly with our meal. We started with a delicious charcuterie board and a small Caesar salad, followed by a perfectly cooked filet mignon with a lobster Hasselback potato for me and the tender braised short ribs with garlic mashed potatoes for my husband. To top it all off, we enjoyed one of our favorite desserts, crème brûlée—it was the perfect ending to a perfect evening.

We loved the experience so much that we decided to return this morning for breakfast, and it didn’t disappoint. Diana was our server again, and her excellent service made us feel like regulars. We enjoyed buttermilk pancakes, a mimosa, eggs Benedict, and red chilaquiles that were absolutely AMAZING. The restaurant had a festive holiday morning planned, complete with Santa, the Grinch, and fun family activities in the lobby—it was such a joy to see the holiday spirit alive and well.

The new menu is outstanding, and we’re thrilled to see this restaurant thriving under its new name and concept. We can’t wait to come back, not just during this trip but every time we’re in the area. Thank you, VUE North, for making our anniversary and breakfast so memorable—we hope to enjoy your delicious food and warm atmosphere for years to come!
