Fully vegetarian/vegan place! They moved to this new location with more indoor seating which is great!! We tried their ginger & lemongrass noodle soup and peanut noodle. Both were really good. Honestly the ginger and lemongrass one may well be one of the top noodle soups in Charlottesville. Highly recommend!

Everything is super fresh and delicious. I love their new space on the Downtown Mall, too! Try the ginger lemongrass noodle soup, the crispy roll noodle bowl, or the banh mi!

Vu has always been great but they’ve taken it to another level in their new spot on the downtown mall. Family owned and run. They’ve had amazing specials lately. The red bean sesame mochi balls are a must. Some of the best vegan options in town.

Awww such a calm little corner. Don’t hesite to stop here if you are craving noodles!

This is a family business and the owners are friendly and welcoming.

The menu has good variation imo. I added a picture.

I had the lemon grass tofu noodles it was a fresh, with a hint of sweetness, the tofu was firm but it get softer with the juice at the bottom of the plate.

I also had a cup of broth and oh my my just delicious.

I promise you won’t be disappointed weather you get dry noodles or soup.

**The spicy oil sauce will be too much if you are not used to spicy food

What a wonderful surprise to walk into. My husband and I just stopped by in downtown mall area to take a brake from a long drive. We are pescatarian and hoped to just order something vegetarian. Come to find out their entire menu is vegan (they do carry fish sauce as an option though) which we were absolutely thrilled about. We ordered the pho, veggie dumplings, and the vegan ham sandwich. It was the best vegan Thai food we have ever tasted.
We don’t live close at all but we would definitely make the trip back here just for the food. Oh! And the staff are wonderful as well!

Amazing vegan food. The tofu banh mi at Vu Noodles is the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I’ve started ordering two every time I eat here because I just don’t want it to be over.

Love the new location on the downtown mall, too!

Actually perfect meals. Savory, delicious, flavorful, not too sweet or salty or heavy. If I could eat here everyday I would. It’s hard to not use hyperbole when describing this place. Rarely does a restaurant hit the nail on the head, but Vu Noodles does it every single time. (Also, as a migraine sufferer who gets triggered by weird things like chocolate and tomatoes, the fact that the menu is monosodium glutamate free is a god-send.)

It’s a very cute smallish store front on the Charlottesville pedestrian mall with ample warm-weather seating on the mall and wall banquet seating with small tables running along both walls inside. You order at the counter and take a number and they bring everything to your table. Can’t wait to come here in the winter for pho. Straight forward menu with starters, bahn mi, noodle soups, dry noodles, drinks, and desserts.

I’m happy every time I eat here. Sooooooooooo worth it

This is a small, charming restaurant on the downtown mall. You order at the counter and they deliver to your table. Limited menu, but very tasty. Food took awhile to be served, but not so long that I wouldn’t be back. The dumplings were delicious!

One of the most delicious vegan pho I’ve ever had! I used to eat vegan pho at a completely vegan Vietnamese restaurant in RVA, but unfortunately they closed.

So, this was an exciting find on my visit to C’ville.

You walk up to the front window, place your order. If you plan to dine “in” they’ll bring it out to you while you sit outside. There’s a bell at the side of the building to alert them that you’re there for pickup – assuming you probably ordered online?!

The pho was delicious and flavorful. They ran out of sprouts, but i hardly noticed. The ingredients were fresh, and you can tell that love was one of them. I requested cilantro and jalapeños. When you have jalapeños, you really don’t need the extra hot chili oil sauce. I didn’t have to use it. Btw that sauce is apparently house-made. No surprise, as the sweet owner (?) greeted me while I was eating outside with two friends I just made.

I also had hot chai, and it was delicious, especially on this cold afternoon.

That was where the stars dropped for me. It would have been perfect if there was a warm post of some sort nearby to help with the cold temperatures and the uninvited wind. I will say that this establishment is probably more of a takeout in the colder months as there are no indoor seatings. To its credit though, the pho did help to warm me up! Just thought to share in case anyone else thought (like I did) there was indoor dining.
