Went here for drinks and snack and had a nice time, but was alerted by my credit card that my 20% tip was actually charged as a 37% tip. I can’t say whether this was intentionally fraudulent or not, but I’ve called now 3 times being told “the manager will call me back” and they haven’t still – it’s been almost a month. It wasn’t a huge amount of money, but I shouldn’t have to chase down effectively stolen money. Needless to say I won’t be going back here and I recommend keeping your receipt as I’ll be addressing this with my credit card company next.

There’s lots of cute places in Kirkland, and unfortunately, this spot really missed it. It looks like a cute wine/cocktail bar, only sits maybe 30 people with an outside patio, but service was awful, and the food was the worst part. Loved the cocktail and wine selections but really needed some help with greeting people and attention in the kitchen. They had raw mushrooms and sliced tomatoes on the veggie plate and a small side dish of just plain yogurt. The Hummus was chunky like it wasn’t blended appropriately, and there was no flavor to it. Cucumbers were sliced in huge oval shapes with seeds, so we ate the carrots and bellpepers. This place is lacking someone who cares about it.

Last week, I visited this establishment with a friend of mine. He is a regular and told me that the atmosphere is great, with a friendly staff, and good cocktails. We had a mostly pleasant evening; enjoying our drinks and snacking on delicious brussel sprouts and chicken skewers. Until it all took a very strange turn at the end. The bartender over served my friend and it was clearly intentional. She would make two drinks at a time and continue to give them to my friend along with a double shot of his choice. As a former bartender myself, I felt it was very excessive and should not have reached that point. It made sense to me once the bartender and I had our final exchange. My friend is a very generous tipper, Bridie (our bartender) took advantage of that. He had wrote a $100 tip on a $304 bill followed by an incorrect total of $600. He was clearly intoxicated and did poor math. Upon my correcting the total for my friend, she had the gall to tell me what I was doing was illegal and that he (my friend) always leaves a 100% tip. I showed her the discrepancy on the ticket and she let me know that she was going to go off of the total and made other rude and hurtful comments. I’ve only recently found out that this individual ultimately took it upon herself to give herself a $300 tip on a $300 bill. Greed is a terrible look and it was clearly the intent throughout our visit to take advantage of my friend. The only reason this place gets that second star, is because the cooks made some tasty appetizers.
