Voodoo Lounge, nestled in a Huntsville basement, is the city’s finest hidden gem, offering an intoxicating blend of dive bar ambiance and energetic live music. From the moment one descends into its invitingly dim recesses, Voodoo Lounge casts a spell, harking back to a time when bars prioritized atmosphere, speed, and the simple pleasure of a well-mixed drink.

A friend and I were visiting Huntsville for the weekend. After stopping at a few stores, we saw a sign for happy hour. We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door and found that this place is in a basement. We spent many “happy hours” here that evening. The drinks were great and the company even better. We will not come back to Huntsville without making a stop here. Perfect dive bar vibes!

Went for open Mic night, the “host” (extremely hostile and rude) is a drummer who refuses to let other drummers use thier own set, they have to use his and can’t add double bass and was threated to be unplugged if it was too loud. It says live music but you can’t play if you’re better than the host!

An incredibly cool atmosphere, Voodoo is the perfect chill underground dive bar. Though it’s name may not sound appetizing, their speciality drink, the “Pink Chicken” is delicious, covering its high alcohol content with a great tropical taste. Not to mention, I dare say Voodoo has THE best hot wings in Huntsville. If you’re undecided on when you should come, definitely come on a Wednesday night – James Irvin plays, and the way his bass and acoustics reverberate through the venue will shake your soul.

Stumbled across Voodoo while wandering back to my hotel after dinner one night. There was a band the first night I was there and an open mic night the second. Both were well attended. The drinks are quite reasonably priced, the bartenders are responsive and nice. Nothing really to complain about. Seems mostly a local spot which is always nice to find.

I enjoyed the atmosphere. The live music is good and the drinks are cheap. Live music happens everyday. Definitely worth to check out if you’re in Huntsville.

A little dingy but if you like a cramped basement bar with a lot of personality then you’ll love it in here. I dont drink but I had some friends playing at the open mic. Very good vibes, mood lighting, and darts.

Especially for being open so late they had good beer, food ,and service, but between the live music and some loud patrons at the other end of the bar, my ears were ringing after half an hour.

The bar is ok. The chick bartender, was horrible. Definitely a beer place, don’t try and get a mixed drink, they tend to be out of items for the drink or don’t know how to make them. Or just stick with straight up whiskey. The band was nice.

Great music, fair price for drinks, only down side is the venue is pretty small so it’s hard to talk sometimes when they have live performances.
