Came here during early an early afternoon, and the line was long out of the door. But moved fast.
Inside the shop is not huge, just slightly bigger than a regular donut shop.
We are a box of one of the pre-set selections. Tasted fresh, soft and buttery… delicious, but might be too sweet to some Asian foodies.
The creativity they put to the donuts design is plausible, pleasing and attractive.
Price are not bad, service was great. The young men took our order was super friendly and positive.
The shop was fairly clean and smelled sooo sweet and buttery.
Highly recommend.

“Good Things Come in Pink Boxes and Cups” 🙂
Visiting from out of town, Voodoo Doughnut greeted us with a uniquely eccentric atmosphere, filled with the irresistible smell of freshly baked sweets waiting to be devoured. The selection of doughnuts was vast, ranging from classics like glazed, maple bars, and cake doughnuts to their more creative options such as Voodoo Dolls and other artisanal creations.
We ordered the Voodoo Doll, Bacon Maple Bar, The Homer, and the Churro Cheesecake, each offering its own unique blend of sweetness and creativity. The dough was consistently fluffy with a pleasant yeasty flavor throughout. To pair with the doughnuts, the Voodoo Magic Roast featured a smooth medium roast profile, with hints of dark chocolate and caramel upfront, followed by a subtle fruity sweetness at the finish.
Overall, the artisanal creativity of the doughnuts combined with the fun, friendly atmosphere may entice you to come back for more—almost as if you’re under a spell.

I work down the street from here so I eat here several times a week. This is the first and only restaurant I have been to in my entire 33 years that remembers me and my order when I walk in. The staff here are some of the kindest people I have encountered in the city. There is this one employee in particular who always wears a very cool hat and jewelry. I adore him. He greets me with the kindness and warmth of an old friend. I am a janitor and I often feel small or unappreciated at my job because I’m the bottom of the bunch. So when I take my lunch and walk into this place with my favorite food painted my favorite color, it really makes a difference in my life that the employees treat me like they are actually happy to see me. Honestly, coming to get food here is one of the greatest joys in my life. Sometimes it’s the thing that gets me through the day, and I mean that. The people who work here are so precious and beautiful. I am so grateful for all of them. They are the heart of that place and they keep me coming back. Love, “strawberry go-tart girl”.

This donut shop was absolutely spectacular! The donut flavors they have are so unique and fun! I was extremely impressed by this donut shop and their creativity that were into making the doughnut flavors and designs! The donuts are very big and are very filling! They taste absolutely amazing! The breading and the donut is just through the roof and is nice and fluffy! I would definitely recommend shopping at this donut store the next time you buy donuts! In conclusion, I am super duper duper happy with my experience here!!! And as the kids these days like to say, it was very “Hip”!!

Butterfingering was not as good as expected but the Diablos Rex donuts more than made up for it, amd my mom loved her Dirty Old Bastard donut as well. The stained glass and sculptures made the whole place feel like an experience to visit – if i’m ever in Portland again I know where I’ll be treating myself!

I’d heard about Voodoo for years. Work had me driving to Oregon. One of my stops took my right past Voodoo. I flipped around and went to get some doughnuts. I don’t know the guys name but he was very personable and we chatted for quite a bit while I was deciding what wanted. Got a half dozen had the Grape Ape Bacon Maple bar 2 Raspberry filled & I can’t remember the other two. But I ended up doing another delivery a week later and stopped in again . The prices for the shirts hats & other Voodoo things are definitely pricey.

We stopped at the Davis Street Voodoo Doughnut in Portland and loved it. The donuts were not just good—they were fun, colorful, and presented in a way that makes you smile before you even take a bite. Each one felt like a little piece of Portland creativity. Tasty, unique, and worth the stop!

Voodoo Doughnut is a Portland staple, known for its eccentric donuts and quirky atmosphere. As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by the brightly colored walls and funky decor. It’s almost like stepping into a candy-filled carnival. The selection of donuts is vast, with everything from the famous Bacon Maple Bar to the voodoo doll-shaped donuts filled with raspberry jelly. I tried the Voodoo Doll donut, and it did not disappoint. The raspberry filling was tart and sweet, and the donut itself was soft and fluffy. The bacon on the Maple Bar added an unexpected savory touch that worked surprisingly well with the sweetness of the donut. While the shop can get crowded, especially on weekends, it’s definitely worth the wait. If you’re in Portland, you have to experience Voodoo Doughnut at least once. It’s not just about the donuts; it’s about the whole quirky, fun experience that comes with it.

We went here a few nights ago, 5 min before closing and the guy was really nice and let us in. He was obviously in a rush to get out of there, but was still very professional and nice about us coming in 5 min to close. Another couple was like 2 min to close and he also let them in. This is the way it should be, but I find it rare these days.
Anyway, the donuts were shockingly fresh for this time of the day, and they were tastier than usual as well. I’ve been a long time customer of all of the Voodoo Donut shops and absolutely love them! The employees and customer service are always exceptional!
One complaint – you’ve been skimping on the jelly filling inside the GoTarts. I’m not happy about this – they’ve been like 1/4 to 1/3 full and they used to be full all the way through. Please fix this, bc these are my all-time favorites!
Also, I thought that the voodoo doll had Bavarian cream, but it had some kind of jelly that I didn’t like the taste of. Did you change this or is my memory off?
Anyway, I highly recommend the Gotart(full of jelly filling;) and the Marshall Mathers. My daughters love the Grape Ape and Dirt ❤️

We stopped here because we saw it on The Travel Show and The Cooking Show a long time ago. When we made plans to visit Oregon, we knew that we had to see it for ourselves. Voodoo Donuts is awesome! I love the atmosphere and vibe! Fun and playful. Nelson took great care of us and out order. She was very friendly, welcoming and helpful! She deserves more than 5 stars!!!
We got the Voodoo Doll and the Pothole. I was disappointed with how my voodoo doll looked. The pretzel stick was stabbed in the kidneys. The donut didn’t look like the one in the display case. IMO, the donut looked like a deformed male body part. The donut is very delicious and love the bloody filling.
