I never ever write reviews, but I felt I had to after my most recent experience at this restaurant. My boyfriend and I planned a date night, and I chose this place because I really enjoyed it when it first opened. I’m honestly not sure what happened in the few weeks since my last visit, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish.
We arrived around 5pm and there were maybe four other people in the entire restaurant. We were greeted at the door, but we had to ask for menus and then again for the drink menu. I’m not sure if the bartender is new, and I truly hope this comes across as constructive criticism, as both my boyfriend and I work in the service industry and try to be understanding. But the service was genuinely poor. We sat at one of the high tops and not checked on a single time by the bartender, even though the place was practically empty. He spent the entire time talking to who I assume was a friend, and my boyfriend had to get up multiple times just to order drinks and food. We both ordered two cocktails which were both honestly terrible. I got the strawberry basil cocktail, which did not have any strawberry in it, instead had what seemed to be the entire basil plant. It was so bad my boyfriend chugged both drinks so we wouldn’t waste money. Then the food came- which are items we’ve ordered and loved before: the hummus platter and the caprese pizza. The hummus wasn’t even recognizable as hummus. It was watery, flavorless, and the vegetables tasted almost spoiled.The peppers had a strange sauce on them that we’d never had there before. The pizza almost had no flavor; it tasted like a frozen pizza that had been heated up with caprese toppings thrown on top. It was honestly concerning how different and how much worse everything was compared to previous visits. For all that, the bill came to 60$ and it just wasn’t worth it. We won’t be coming back. it’s really sad to see a restaurant/ bar that started off so strong decline in quality this much.

This is by far one of the cleanest, brightest, and friendliest brewpubs in the entire Williamsburg area. The staff were fantastic and attentive. The owner, Michael was hands-on and super friendly. My wife and I could tell right away from our conversation with him that he is very serious and proud of the atmosphere that he has created and the products that he sells. This was our first visit, but we are already talking about going back. We highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a laid-back to relax and unwind with friends and family. If you’re ever in the area on vacation or live locally, this has to be on you “must visit” list.

If you’re going just to have a beer and don’t want to deal with anyone. This place works for you. Plenty of decent beer selections.
Everything is done thru QR code, order beer, food, etc. No human interaction needed, but for sure a 20% tip for service is there in the bill. What service? What little interaction is there, is absolutely the minimal without any kind of manners.
Food is ok at best, but hurry because after 8:45 is only wings and pizza… even on a Friday night. Ohhh, got get your own silverware because they don’t bring you any. There are no main soft drinks brands, that’s ok, but there’s no ice or cup served with them. It’s a brewery after all!
Atmosphere is average, local is in a retail space without any real character. They only being open for a little while; I would bet to say that won’t last a year if they keep like that.

Whoa! Talk about an experience. I’ve been here three times since they’ve opened and everything I’ve had has been phenomenal. They have amazing beer on tap, the food is excellent each time, and the service is just spot on. If you’re looking for a delicious beer, you need to stop here!

Voodoo is a fun place to enjoy a craft beer in Williamsburg. They have a formidable beer and mixed drink selection; I haven’t seen a larger tap selection in the area! From open-mic nights to encourage musicians’ spirit…to friendly trivia camaradarie, there’s something for just about everyone’s enjoyment. Their prices are fair, and I love being able to enjoy a beer in a smaller (5oz) glass; beers today keep getting more potent so it’s nice to be able to enjoy the taste without too many side-effects.

You can taste the freshness of the food, definitely nothing frozen and bombarded with spices to make it seem fresh. We had the bang bang shrimp, a burger, and garlic parm chips. The burger for me made two meals;) drinks were fantastic, one cocktail and then I had a lager time. The staff was amazing, best customer service I’ve seen anywhere, we had one person take our order and everyone checked on us, not just the person who took our order. You guys are amazing. Oh and you can buy the kitchen a round of beer for when they get off work.
